ThioJoe with another banger useful video

Wonderful! You alerted me to better versions of portable apps I'm using, and gave me some new ideas. Selecting freeware is difficult, with all of the malware floating around, so it's invaluable to have trustworthy recommendations.

Whenever I see one of these videos I end up installing something new … and updating to the latest versions of the SysInternals stuff.

They are also useful in a locked down work environment. I use Autohokey and Greenshot portable daily at work

  6. @dvongrad

As a career software developer, I used Visual Studio and HxD to reverse engineer Adobe Photoshop's binary preference files to create a small app to remove select recent files from Photoshop's home screen—a feature users have wanted for years but Adobe refuses to spend a half day implementing!

  7. do all of these apps keep there setting files in the same folder if not they are not portable

  8. @None17555

My portable apps folder also includes Joplin, Q-DDir, Winaero Tweaker, DiskWipe, License Crawler. The portableapps website is worth noting.
Oh, and "Everything" has a portable version. I will probably switch to that on my next install.

Bulk rename is an awful utility I stopped using it years ago. There's several better tools that do the same thing much easier.

  10. @loubano

Great video and program !!! Thank you so much !!!!!!!!

  11. @KORERAWR

I was hoping for something new lol I use all of these! Wizfile is great too for finding files

I remember watching you like 10 years ago man, glad to see you are still getting that jootube money.

  13. @famt123

i use spacesniffer instead of wiztree. dunno which one is the best but works for me. great video

The coolest free programs are the ones that are free as in freedom, not necessarily free as in beer, though that typically comes with. I actually voluntarily pay for a lot of free programs, because they're so good and I want to support the project.
