hello everyone in this lesson we’re going to look at different ways to find the Wi-Fi password of an active or save wireless connection on Windows 11 you can perform this task in several ways but the instructions will be a little bit different depending on the version of Windows 11 that you have in your computer okay let’s have into the steps but before please subscribe to the channel and click the like button to help YouTube show this video to more people it doesn’t cost anything and you will be helping the channel and supporting my work okay first we’re going to check the steps to use the settings app to find the password for a wireless connection on Windows 11 version 23 H2 and to do that Open start and look for settings and then open the app now we’re going to go to network and internet and then we’re going to click on Wi-Fi in here you can click on manage not networks and then click the saved network connection that you want to see the password then at the bottom of the page you’re going to find the view Wi-Fi security key setting and then just click the view button and that will reveal the password for the wireless connection also an extra tip if you’re already connected to the network and you want to find out the actual password you can go back to the Wi-Fi settings and on the page you can click on the active connection and that will also take you to the page where you can find the security key now let’s check the steps for using the settings up to find out the password for the wireless connection but on Windows 11 version 24 H2 and later releases and to do that Open start and look for settings and open the app then go to network and internet and click on Wi-Fi in here click the manage not networks and then click on the save connection or the active wireless connection in here you’re going to notice that the setting is now at the top and it is called Wi-Fi network password and the button has changed to show so you just need to click this button and that will reveal the password for the Wi-Fi alongside a QR code that you can actually use with any supported camera app on your phone or from another device like another Windows tablet and scanning this code it will automatically link the computer to that specific Network now on any version of Windows 11 you can also use the Legacy control panel to find the Wi-Fi password for connections saved on your computer or for the active connection and to do that Open start and look for control panel and then open the app now let’s go to network and internet and then open Network and Sharing Center from here click the change adapter settings option from the left side and then look for the wireless adapter that you want to find the password right click on it and select the status option and from here we’re just going to click the wireless properties button then go to security and then check the show characters option and that will reveal the network security key which is actually the wireless password for that particular connection finally you can also use command prompt or Powershell to find the Wi-Fi password with commands on any version of Windows 11 and to do that open settings and look for command prompt Powers shell or the windows terminal in my case I’m going to use a terminal going to right click on it and select the Run administrator option and then I’m going to run this command and then I’m going to press enter that will rebuild all the wireless profiles saved on the computer once you know the name for the wireless profile that you want to find out the password you need to type this command and you have to change the name for the actual name of the profile in this case is tsunami and then press enter and the command will then reveal the password under the key content as you can see right here and that’s it those are the different ways that you can use to see the Wi-Fi password for wireless connections on virtually any version of Windows 11 remember to like the video leave your comments subscribe to the channel if you haven’t done that yet and I just hope this video was inform for you and I would like to thank you for viewing
