For those of us who play at 720p max settings with Ray Tracing

  2. wormeaten

6600 vs 3050 is 20% more $ but 30% more performance. Definitely worth it.

  3. Petyr

Definitely did listen Daniel! Appreciate the acknowledgement of the part shortcomings, and for the budget and components you're using – you're absolutely right in using it for the most part. The issue I have is that by encouraging people to buy this, we're sending a message to ASRock that this kind of motherboard is acceptable. The board is eWaste in 3 years and that's kind of disgusting.

Fr a great reviewer I don't get how you don't have 10 or 100 times your subscriber count

  5. is it wrong to assume that if you're watching this you're more interested in upgrading a current build than building a fresh full build?

This is the way. JayZ needs his head examined. P.S. do a video comparison on games using high and ultra settings to see if you can see any real difference. Not everyone needs to run game settings on max and plenty of games these days you can hardly tell the difference but you WILL notice an uplift in FPS!

Still looking for the "price drops" from Asus lol. Can't find them anywhere and it's April 3rd. Not even on their website and the only thing I could find is Asus clarifying and outright stating that it wasn't the truth and that they'll being doing the normal "lower prices over time with our competitors" thing…

  10. I Am

Was waiting till the prices would drop about 200eur, instead those are going up.. so, I donated the same amount to Ukraine and somehow it feels better. How about you?

  11. Quinten Kock

Today AMD released some new CPU's, like the Zen2 based 4100/4500/4600G, and the Zen3 based 5500, 5600 and 5700X. The 5500 is essentially a 5600G without iGPU, and the 5600 is a cheaper 5600X. I think the 5500 is some pretty good value for a budget build, since AM4 boards are cheaper than LGA1700 and to be honest I think a quad-core in 2022 is just not that great anymore. I would personally not buy one at least, just like a 4GB videocard. The 5500 is only PCIe 3.0, but unless you pick a 6500 XT (which you shouldn't) it's not gonna bottleneck.

  12. Infinite Barking

When you buy things at the right time and you're smart about it, you can build a great gaming rig around this budget. I built a fantastic midrange system for my friend with just a couple used parts and a launch day 6600XT all for under $850

    Ryzen 5 3600x w/spire cooler (used) – $150
B450 ASUS prime – $60 (bought a CPU upgrade for myself and got $20 off a motherboard at Microcenter)
    crucial 16gb ddr4-3600 RAM – $70
    SanDisk 1tb SSD m.2 – $75
launch day RX 6600XT Gigabyte Eagle @ microcenter – $380
Lian Li 205m ATX case (used) – $40
    Seasonic 650w gold semi-modular 7 year warrenty – $50 (Newegg cyber sales)

  13. You are really inspiring me, I‘m thinking about starting my own tech channel. Well done. 🙂👍

BTW love your page, the Morgan Freeman of youtube influencers with the mellow tone

  15. JD Gaming

The only thing i disagree with is the RX 6600XT 8GB over the RTX 3060 12GB card i mean 4GB of more Vram and only 12% slower and you also get DLSS and ray tracing.

Easy sell not to mention Nvidia has a superior encoder which i use and history shows that more VRAM is a good thing if you keep your machine for 3+ years

  16. DragonMaster

Hey quick question does the mother board have a wifi adapter or would you have to get a different motherboard for that??

  17. killtson 0201

Am I wrong in thinking that ram speed doesn't matter on that motherboard because you can't change it?

  18. sim_ tastic vids

I wish4he used car prices in the uk would do the same, dealers ripping punters off on 12/13 year old cars from 07, 09, 10, these are big standard cars nothing special have 130,000 – 170,000 miles asking £3800-£4500 riddlous and people though the gpu gouging was terrible, saying Least I got a rtx 3080 palit gaming in earth Oct 2020 for £730

  19. Lord Wallace

I think the 1000 usd price point makes the most sense right now given the sheer jump in performance from being able to buy a 500 usd 3060ti somewhat easily nowadays. That plus a 12100f and youre good to go.
