2022 Apple iPad Pro M2 11″ Review

The 2022 refresh of the iPad Pro puts Apple’s M2 processor front and center. We look at the smaller 11” iPad Pro 4th gen that starts at $799. It’s available with optional 5G and in the usual space gray and silver colors. The iPad has more RAM than ever, Wi-Fi 6E, up to 2TB of storage and the usual excellent quad stereo speakers. The 2022 Pro models are compatible with the Apple Pencil 2, now with a hover feature.

Lisa’s reviews are great – densely packed practical information of the pros and cons of products that gets to the point needed to make real buying decisions. Much appreciated!

I've seen this hover feature on my Surface pro since like forever, don't understand why other reviewers react Apple's hover feature like they've never seen this before.

Great review, but what about the battery life of 11” ?

0:56, they only started 12.9 inch model a few months earlier, technically 4 th generation 11 inch is the 6th generation iPad Pro line. Just that 11 inch in the 3rd gen pro replaced the 9.7 inch in first gen and 10.5 inch in second gen.

Quick question, i have the original ipad, still working, some of the app stopped but the search engine works perfectly well, should i upgrade.

I feel like this iPad is just a CPU update and nothing else. The Apple Pencil feature i feel like they could have added to the older iPad Pros with software

I’d love to see this directly compared to the 2018 11” Pro. That 2018 11” Pro is really holding its own. No Mini LED on this 2022 11” means I’m still not upgrading though.

Is 8GB enough for heavy google sheet tasks via Safari? Since Google Sheet native app doesn’t support multiple instances. Tried with 4GB RAM iPad Pro 2018 and it often crashed.

Surprised and glad to see Apple not go with a notch for the iPads.

On a device that has everything soldered 16 gigs is definitely not overkill, the extra memory will save quite a lot of wear on the storage due to reduced paging. Wear that flash out and the whole device becomes useless. Shame really…
