Can you test with laptop on a stand? Maybe extra height helps
Dave is taking the David Blaine Magic Studio class for sure
I love the duct tape mount!
Main sensor is cleanest because it has the 1.8 aperture. More light and bokeh
when your hands look weird, it's because the perspective transformation matrix only works to transform one plane to another plane. In this case, it is transforming the trapezoidal plane from your camera to the rectangular plane on your screen. This however means that the depth isn't accurate. Apple almost definitely has some tricks under its sleeves to solve this problem.
Even your playing cards are teal! 🤣🤣
Where can I get that jumper???
Does it use the mics from the iPhone, If yes how does it compare to the build-in from the MacBook?
Hey Man, that’s a really good investigation of 🍏’s claim. And it’s brilliant, and also very limited. But when it works with a flat object it is banging !!
The important part is compiling the continuity camera app, one step ahead of the competition as always Dave!
thanks for the video Dave! I have a studio display and the webcam sucks, I'm considering getting an iPhone just for this feature. Any idea what iPhones will be supported? Anything with iOS 16?
What are the odds that Apple is slowly introducing us to this webcam setup so we get used to it and they can get rid of the notch?
I've been watching dave for like 5 years now. I remember watching his videos with my elder brother about laptops when he was about to get admission in the university and wanted to buy a laptop. I got so interested by his videos and the way he delivers everything.
I disagree, your demo isn't even close to what apple showed off. I called BS on it and from what I saw in your demo, it was BS.
I see you with that CasiOak on the wrist!
coolest thing at WWDC this year imo
I thought the same when i saw the video. It's impossible. False advertising.
Excellent pre-evaluation. No one else has actually shown it for what it is.
You gave apple an idea of selling a tape for that purpose. Imagine the price
Does the Camera use the Lidar to check the angle it has to correct?
Dave 2D, freakin magician for posting this so quickly. I have a mac mini and was wondering how this would work….. perfect pairing for my iphone. Thumbs up and subscribed.
I guess this is the first video to test it out! It's super satisfying to see high quality image from a "webcam". Looking forward for this new feature
Prepare yourself dear friends… Apple is making way for removing web cams for computers (therefore removing the noch)… just wait and see
I bet they were using an iPhone 14 camera setup which was probably developed for things like this.
Thanks for figuring it out Dave. ✌️
That mount is gonna be like $100
Um.. can't you just do that now by doing the same thing already.. but my ultra wide on my Samsung doesn't distort it.. but your just using the phone camera as a eeb camera … It's like your filming a video on 4k I don't get it what's impressive
why not just put the iPhone's Ultrawide sensor in the Mac? i mean they have arm CPU with advanced ISP so…why not?
please tell me you didn't really put duct tape on your iPhone screen… 😱
Perks of knowing how to code👨💻
I don't have a web cam on my Zephyrus 14, I use droid cam with my phone and use a cell phone tripod to keep the phone just above my laptop – that's my Full HD webcam
Aces as usual Dave
Excellent duct tape job
Awesome
Studio light on looks, like RTX raytracing on
Card games!
02:37 True man of culture
Droidcam on linux works well as well
android fanboys are everywhere but they all disappear on this kind of videos
"The flatter the better" – Dave2d
Exactly my thoughts. And I also felt like how no one talked about this
Bruh, you did a better job with the cards than the demo guy
