nice!, but! that soundbar all by itself uses 15 to 20watts more than my tv use's.

I have a Samsung soundbar and I like it. I have my laptop plugged into it so I can play films and music through it too. I sometimes Blutooth music from my phone as well. A very versatile bit of kit.

    I'm glad I got a sound bar with my 4k tv…Azio 36" 5.1 and it makes a big difference.

60 watts is power consumption @ 240 volt RMS , not sound output based on "voltage peak, squared divide by speaker impedance " Just clarifying that fact Bye for now

Cheap soundbars without a sub speaker are not much better than a decent TV's built in speakers most of the time. I would recommend spending twice that amount and get a soundbar with a separate sub speaker if possible. I got a LG soundbar with a sub for just over £100 during last years black Friday deals and it sounds amazing.

Hell yes! Got a cheapo used 2.1 2-way-speakered Panasonic soundbar for our Panasonic TV as the integrated speakers sounded naff. What a difference for £32 on ebay! Unless you just watch kids tv or the news you won't be disappointed folks. Just don't buy 1-way or full-range single speakers though as they sound like they've got a sock over them..there's not enough treble or bass, just boring mid-range.

The only descent sound bars are the ones with a dedicated sub woofer. PC speakers are a good option too. Such as the Logitech z623. You could also buy a cheap amplifier and bookshelf speakers.

The video is nice but the subject line is not correct in my view "Are TV Soundbar Worth it?".

  12. Nick Poverman

Looks like the one I got from Amazon. The Amazon basic sound bar.

  13. TERRY. W

Soundbars are a great improvement on TV sound ….and don't have any trailing wires.

  14. Perfect timing. I was just thinking of getting one of these but for my computer

  15. Steve Fulgione

I enjoyed your review on this soundbar and picked one up off Amazon. You're right, this thing is really nice. Added it my existing 5.1 system to fill in the center. Worked out great. Highly recommend, hard to match for the low price. 👍🏻👍🏻

  16. Kernel Troutman

Definitely worth it over the crap speakers that come in tv's these days, but I'll stick with my stereo receiver and separate speakers.
