I was really looking forward to your review of this device. Thanks!

Great initial review! Looking forward to the full review. Would love to know how manageable the heat is on typical browsing / work. Heat when on heavy load is understandable but heat on light tasks could be annoying. Also curious about its performance on battery mode. Would it stutter when on battery. This is a really great device. I appreciate the work you're doing. Cheers!

As a proud owner of 2021 top spec version 😛 I hope there will be a decently priced Ryzen 7, 6700S version with otherwise same specs: 32gb RAM (or at least 16gb soldered, and a free slot)/ screen etc and no anime matrix (nothing against it, looks cool, but I've used it really few times in the beginning). I love it, as fixed most/all of my painpoints (no webcam, dim 16:9 screen, very limited hinge angle – but not really ready to fork out 2.5k after just 1 year of use 😉

Been waiting for this one! Really happy they have now gone 16:10. Much better for a 14 inch screen.

Is this the price in US Dollar or UK Dollar or something else. Please reply 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

Nice gaming PC for a 14 inch. Webcam was fair. The image looked a little washed out with colors and the image movement seemed a little jerky. Not smooth. What is the refresh rate of the camera? This PC producing a lot of heat is not surprising since it has a 240 watt power adapter. Remember the more power in the more heat it will produce. Think of a light bulb. The higher the wattage it consumes the more heat it will produce. The design of this laptop is excellent. Easy access to the inside for easy upgrade. For a gaming laptop it seems somewhat surprising that all the models do not come with 16 gig memory soldered in. Still this is an excellent PC for portable gaming and other applications. Excellent "First Looks" review.

do you advise me to buy it for programming and would it last for 5 years ?

  8. Great review. Just wondering if that 14unches is too small for video editing in resolve?

  9. Dan M

Awesome review! Fan noise on idle, average load?

  10. C4me

Some say it's overheating…and it has vapor chamber and LM …I don't understand why people complain of overheating

Thank you for quick review video, hope to see your full review on this bad boy. Don't know when it available in Asia, hope it will come at least the end of year so I can try it 🔥

  12. Ios

Finally you got your hands on the zephyrus line.

  13. David Allen

Good video, interested in the gaming benchmark for sure. The Best Buy reviews do have a fair number of complaints. I'm wondering how many are legit or is it power in a small size trade-off?

  14. Ak view

Yesss finally the zephyrus comes on the AMD family !!!! excelsior !!

  15. Ak view

the speakers i think are really impressive so did you tweak the sound in dolby to dynamic or a custom sound graph ?

  16. Tishawn Gumbs

I feel like in 2022 laptops at a certain price point should come with a 1080p Webcam standard.. it isn't that expensive to implement

  17. dandini0698

One thing i wonder. Are all panels QHD? Are they really not pushing FHD panels? I mean the Rx6700hs or even 6800hs cant really push performance at QHD not to mention 14" is the wrong size to have that kind of panel.

  18. 505MrALI

Great review! Love u including the upgradeability part

  19. lawep

In which cases does it run hot? Let's assume you do light tasks like webbrowsing or watching video. Will it start to run hot or rather when doing heavy tasks?

  20. Todoroki

Great overview. On you full review can you also add the benchmarks on how it performs on the new rna2 igpu and how much battery it gets with that on.

Also the framerate in games unplugged. Lastly do you know if adaptive sync works in dgpu mode or is it only usable in optimus? Thanks.

  21. Ilham kamil

Runs hot? Can it be fixed in the future? By software update maybe?

  22. iyad

Great overview ! Can we get ray tracing performance in the full review ? It seems like most reviewers are ignoring it and it's an interesting topic since nvidia always had an edge on that

  23. New folder

Good video. Explain more about the gpu in full review

  24. B Fish

As far as I can tell no idea when/if the grey will be available in the US or the FHD screen. Big disappointment best buy will likely only be offering the white.

  25. The 8+8GB variants should be prohibited and dropped, the 16+16 or better yet 32+32 should be the only options in this day and age…

I just bought the 2022 G14 and I love it (*It scores 2460 in CB R15, the 10900K only scores 2600!!!!*), but I really wish they did not get rid of the fingerprint reader instead of replacing it with the "Face ID". I also really wish it had three USB-A ports, I cannot use my keyboard, mouse, and USB microphone at the same time. My last wish is thaat they had the laptop in black!!! There are literally no black 2022 models I could find as of 3/7. I have not had issues with hot temps like some reviewers, my laptop runs at 80% fan speed and in GTA V, the GPU sits at about 85 degrees and the 6900HS is at about 79 degrees. This beast boots up in about 6 seconds and games load faster (GTAV is on my HDD in my desktop, about and the laptop NVMe drive runs at about 3.5GB/s) than on my desktop (Ryzen 2600 4.1GHZ, 16GB DDR4-3200, RX580 @1500MHz VRAM 2400MHz, 240GB SATA KINGSTON SSD, and 1TB WD 7200rpm HDD). My laptop scores 2460 multi and 250 single core in Cinebench R15, my desktop scores 1400 multi and 169 single.

  27. HOH

Been out of touch with computers. The GPU prices is what confuses me. So what’s supposed to be the 6700s competition, the RTX 3060 or 3070?

  28. Mark Carpani

Warning, DO NOT BUY Asus ROG equipment, they do not stand behind their equipment at all. I spent $1,500 on the premium Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 thinking the hardware was premium therefore justifying the price but this thing only lasted me 18 months! 18 months and a major hardware failure, I was using it just fine and went to power it on the next day and nothing, no power to the unit at all, no lights, no fans, nothing. The mainboard malfunctioned and after contacting Asus's support they basically said sorry for your luck, you can either buy a new one or pay us $85 just to look at it and then spend another $900 on a new motherboard! The unit was pampered. always on a laptop cooling pad, never abused or used for mining and it only lasted 18 months with mainboard failure and no offer of assistance from Asus support? DO NOT buy Asus equipment as they do NOT stand behind their expensive ROG equipment at all. I feel like I was screwed out of $1.500 and I will never recommend Asus products again after this. I understand the equipment comes with a 1 year warranty, I get that and I have been an IT Consultant for decades and you WILL get better support from Lenovo, Dell and even HP. I have never had a vendor not even offer to look at the unit and try to assist being outside of six months after the warranty expired. I have had other units sent in and repaired under a out of warranty one time exception from both Dell and Lenovo! Shame on your Asus, stand behind your products!

  29. Mister 2

Wow, this machine scores damn close to my 12900H + 140W 3070 setup. Granted – canned benchmarks, and not real-world gaming (which would be nice to see since AMD only sampled the 6800S to reviewers). But being that close on synthetic for the lower model is surprising.

  30. Amowtek

I'm planning on picking this up for when I go to Uni.

  31. Cloud Drop

This computer perfectly meets my needs for an all-around thin and light notebook. It would be better if the onboard 16G and the combination of A+N

  32. acekombat2k5

thank you for reviewing the 6700S version! everyone else is reviewing other options we don't have access to

  33. Axios O7

6:20 – on your screen settings it says color space is SDR
Can we confirm that this is a HDR panel or is that false advertisement?

Also, is the full chasis made of metal (aluminum)? or are there plastic? can someone confirm? so like hand/wrist/top and bottom lid areas – are all made of metal? near ports etc…?

  34. Rama

    Can I say "gameover" for macbook's ? but….price
