What were they thinking with that color back then lol

Are backplates standard with LGA1150? I thought the standard stock cooler was Intel push pin, and all bolt through coolers always had their own backplate

Very nice build, I really like the design of the 'ufo' cpu cooler. Still not a fan of all that rgb bling but I'm old and get distracted by it lol! Still, that little system will make someone very happy!
    Good job Brian!

Nice SH project . The CPU cooler was overkill and not on my taste , but everything else was perfect 🙂

Britec09, can you please tell me, how do I know if I should upgrade the cooling fan?

I am still running a 4690k/z97 sabertooth m1. I payed £188 for the cpu & £200 for the mb when they were new. a long time ago!
Gonna upgrade to a 9900k next month.

That cooler works well. I have a 3770k CPU and was looking for a motherboard on eBay, seems that any decent board is very expensive. I payed 110$ for a decent board, which is around the price for a new board, but if you want to use old tec, you have no choice.

You are so carefull (when screw the motherboard to case) always i've seen your videos and you never use a electrical screwdriver

my way of thinking ,second hand out of warranty, no more than 50% of new price, with warranty depends on how long left on warranty, but no more than 90% of cheapest new price
