Excellent thermal performance with easily upgraded hardware. Acer did a fantastic job on this. It’s not as durable as an Alienware device but it will be cheaper and lighter with awesome performance.

Was going to get the 15 inch ACER helios but the i7 500 is on special here so for $200 more I'll be getting a lot more bang for my buck. Been all over the net and youtube researching these machines and your vids are by far the best.

I am extremely impressed by this machine so far lnfo.help/Acerr?fg The outside is entirely plastic BUT it feels more durable (screen bezel flex etc) then some of my other laptops with metal chassis. The plastic is like a polymer (think Glock pistol plastic) and I have no worries about pressure cracks or having to handle it delicately etc.

Hello Brother. Between ALIENWARE 17R5 and HELIOS 500, which one is better?
It is a very good machine. Even in 2020 I have no problem with temps and performance. I have I7 and GTX 1070 version btw.
Viewing this video in May of 2021 makes me realize how notebook sizes have shrunken as this Acer Helios 500 is just massive in size. Looks good though.
