Well, if you are here, then you know what to expect. Another outrageous offering by the most outrageous brand that I review regularly! Of course, 1000m is totally unnecessary, but then what has ‘necessary’ ever had to do with Xeric? Cheers, Jody

love their trappist-1 NASA model, however, their QA is terrible. it will be my first and last xeric watch

Damn, that's stunning! Love the attention to detail, with the case back alone making it a must have! Will I buy one? No chance – it's ruined by that utterly pointless w/r necessitating a ridiculous thickness. Really really fed up with companies doing this – guarantee no buyer will ever go anywhere near 100m , so what's the point?!? All it does is cost sales – this is a beautiful watch if only it was remotely wearable.
    Gutted 😓

I would send this one to the hydraulic press channel. See if it can handle the pressure. Cheers!

Unfortunate that they decided to cheap out with an NH35 where an NH38 is needed.

A space watch really only need to be rated between 0 and 1 atm.

  6. ARK73

    Just a shame that they can’t spell… metres…🙄

  7. But Jody, you just don't get it, there are a lot of seas on the moon: Mare Imbrium, Mare Nectaris, Mare Tranquillitatis, etc, and even an ocean: Oceanus Procellarum.

If the hands were solid orange ligibility would have been much better

I have a trappist 1 and have never worn it. The lume is really poor making it difficult to read even in daylight.

I'm not really a fan of this brand, but it is vaguely feasable for astronaughts to use one as they often train for repair missions under water in full space suits……………………………………….

Love your Chanel Jody but seriously can we have some nice looking watches please. The recent crap is putting me off. Anyone sporting this garbage on their wrist will be a laughing stock. It looks like a toilet fitting.

Stunning watch!!!! Definitely creative 👌 NASA astronauts do training underwater…..

That is a bargain statement piece for ~$600 AUD.

I already went really mad and ordered the orange, the 6th Xeric in my collection. Love 'em 🙂

Surprised nasa is taking money for these endorsements. must be tough for nasa with budget cuts.

  16. El Matroso

Hmmm… I'd say "Xeric" and "too far" are two completely incompatible things. I admire the courage of these guys. It's as cool as it gets. These are real lunatics in the brightest sense of the word "crazy".

    “Wizard’s sleeve”…nearly spat my tea out!!😂😂👍

Fantastically brand & the watch space is definitely a more interesting place with them in it, that said but I don't want to own one.

  19. Duncan Hamilton

NASA endorsed? NASA logo is public IP, if I remember correctly – you can stick it on anything you want.

That aside, with the wacky design and dimensions, this thing is basically competing in a market of two with Citizen Orca.

  20. It's definitely an interesting and unique design. It's a bit of a shame they decided to just slap an NH35 in it though. It needed something a bit more interesting in keeping with the rest of the watch I feel.

Wow, quite a dramatic piece. No Rolex homage here! Gotta love these guys even exist. The white one especially. They very much remind me of the Isotope range in it's uncompromising but fresh design. Would love to see you review their gmt diver. Perhaps in comparison as a non homage face off ? Also reminds me of the Polimaster gieger counter watches. Especially the 70's looking 1.9 cm thicc PM1208 which I own.

While I don't have have one in my collection I'm glad to see someone offering a look no one else has done. And we need JOMW merch please

I have an idea… what if you would start to make follow up videos about people in comments reacting to your watch reviews? One video for every watch you present? That would be pretty original and it certainly has much potential for fun.
You just choose several comments which are insightful and/or funny and react to them… positive, negative… it doesn't really matter, as long as they don't contain profanity. You'd give people a power to express their opinion/suggestions/ideas about certain watch, which could be very interesting to see, and in the same time it shouldn't take you much time to edit such videos, as they actually write themself up. And it could also made an impact to watch companies (especially microbrands) who follow your content.
    Take care and GL.

I didn't like it on the adverts … but seeing it here … all the detail … I love it!!!!!

This has got me wondering – the "Prometheus" is pretty cool looking
