Thank you so much to Reuven for the loan of his gorgeous Tissot! A true reissue in all but size….. which is a shame for the likes of me who prefer a smaller watch, but good for the likes of anyone else who prefers a larger watch. Ha! The dial is gorgeous and it is pretty good value considering who makes it and what is in the back of it. Cheers, Jody

You said it has stick hands, but if I'm not mistaken there's a flare from pinion to the tip of the hands (making them sword hands?) Correct me if I'm wrong please

The 42mm kills it for a lot of people. I have big wrists so i could pull it off but even i would be more interested if it were 38-40mm.

Yes, it is a gorgeous piece! I have the Dan Henry 1939 Military Chronograph quartz. Yes, the DH is quartz BUT… the execution of the dial on the DH is beyond gorgeous!, with Gold and red lettering on a near Vanta black dial. Please do take a look at the DH just for a visual comparison. As to online watch reviewers, Jodi, YOU ARE THE BEST. You have cost my wallet half of a fortune!

I love it, just can't afford to buy 1 currently…

  6. I have a Ebel 1911 Sport Chrono with the El Primero. It’s very 80s- it’s even solid gold- but because of the El Primero it is 38mm across and only 10mm thick.

Ah Jody, a Gentleman and a Scholar. Everytime you say 'Welcome to Just One More Watch" it brings a smile to my face. Hello from Canberra.

Very nice but I need 100m wr at least to ensure survival ☹️ , I'm pretty bad.

  9. Tosh

It's a beautiful, beautiful watch. Chronographs generally aren't my thing, but the gold on this looks both stylish and functional without seeming too busy. Top marks.

A beautiful watch but at least 2 mm to large in all dimensions and maybe 200usd to expensive

Thank you Jody for bringing my Tissot Telemeter to life on camera! It was amazing to see your review on the watch. You caught incredible fine details and appreciate you sharing the history behind my connection to the brand. You’re a real credit to the watch community and your content is consistently top notch. Keep it up! (And thanks for the shoutout ! )

Gold plated case and You (Tissot) have a new order!

42mm isn't moderate – its oversized. 38mm would be a no brainer for me, but sadly at this size……….shame.

  14. Matt Bartolomei

Great review of a great looking watch. I’d be all in if it were 38-40mm.

  15. Tiago Pereira

Should have never put 5 mm more than the original in this. A 39/40 was "contemporary" enough

  16. Great looking watch but I think they would have sold more of them if they'd made it smaller. Thanks for sharing 👍👍

  17. Henk Van de Goor

Nice. If you're not ready to shell out around $1000, but like the looks, just go for the Dan Henry 1939. Same looks, way cheaper (quartz)..

  18. Neil oppa

Anyone know a high quality for the price Chinese dive watch around 38mm?

  19. Hi Jody, for those who are not buying in this price range, do not forget the Zeppelin 100 Jahre or Los Angeles! Regards

  20. So-Ko Moto

I loved this watch the instant I saw it. Sadly, a bit large for my wrist.

  21. alan wright

Very good looking watch from a great brand, for those with smaller budgets I would point to the Dan Henry 1937,38mm, VK64 at $270 or the 1939 at 41mm

  22. JollyRob

It's a beauty and the perfect size for my 20cms wrist but I can't understand why they didn't try and make it smaller given the present trend. Even 40mm would persuade a lot more people to buy one.

  23. James R

It would be so much more beautiful as a 37/38mm.

  24. pickles623

Gorgeous, but a little too big! I will definitely try it on though!

  25. Mr Benedict

I'm waiting for the <40mm version, then they may have my money.
