Hi Brian, very useful information. Gives memories when I was doing my diploma in Information Technology, well done. 👍

Would be more useful if you could password protect a drive or folder.

now people know how to go to gpedit to unlock the drive on someone elses computer LOL

Good clip and more or less on point
Been solo for about a year
Now grinding for classified gear that I need
Still need house but got a bullfrog and a couple of showstoppers
Working on my striker build with the bullfrog
Got a full classified nomad but now not practical to use in team matches
What I do find difficulty is doing the instances like falcon lost etc as I have no clue wtf I’m doing etc lol
Got most of my gear from doing events and grinding Lexington for tokens, from doing dailies and weeklies as well as the supply drop from twice a month

Is their a way to change to windows 10 home from windows 10 pro without having to do a clean install.

This video makes more sense, given the last one made me wonder the practical use of removing the drive letter, was going to ask last night on discord, but didn't want to spoil your 🍺.

Thanks as always…but Brian wouldn't you have to change that (D:) partition back to (E:) in order to recover your back-up since it was backed up to (E:) partition from the start not (D:)…..? I'm not being flipped !

Another great simple video. It seems from Windows 10, they took away the option to \computernamec$ A shame really…

hi. some of your vids have helped me a lot in the pass and i was hoping you could do a vid on setting something like having a sd card or usb hate will stop your pc from working unless it's installed? it's just that theres a lot of people on youtube who think it's a good idea to show people how to get pass both the bios and windows login passwords, making passwords and logins useless! i just want it so that if any of my laptops get stolen they are totally useless! what all this passwords are meant to do! sorry, trying to talk to people is one of the hardest things i could do!

IDK why Microsoft doesn't make things easier on non-tech savvy users such as myself when it comes to things such as this.
Right-Click the drive, folder, app of whatever & have an option to password lock/unlock = convenience = happy user.

Good one…can the hard drive access be blocked per user type say I want to block it just for the visitor account alone?

  15. SilencerNate

Well, this was partially helpful, but it doesn't really prevent access to the drive. Browsers can still download to the drive, and installation programs will still install/write to the "blocked" drives. Any idea how to prevent those?

Hi, thank You for this video. Hovewer, as You said is for those having Windows 10 Pro. Unfortunetly I dont have an option to update my Windows 10 Home to Pro because is quite expensive for me. So my question is how can I Block Acces to Hard Drive using in Win10 Home?

  17. Kawsar Latif

Does this work for each user or does this take effect across all users. I am aiming to install a different hard rive for each user on my pc is this possible using this method.

  20. Mark Spriggs

Hi Brian – brilliant videos btw – fancy engineering a video to restrict drive access only from guess accounts leaving full access for main user? (maybe you've done this b4?).

  21. Lenin Carrion

I don't understand…if you block access to all hard drives how come you can have access to them if you are blocked? ….Here is my problem, I have someone coming to visit me (I have windows 10 Pro). I have created a guess account with his name with guest limitations. Once he logs with his guest account I don't want him to have access to my hard drives. Can anybody guide me step by step, please. I will really appreciate it.

  22. Poli Tehnist

I try to change the settings but I can still access the drives. why?

  23. Question. How do I protect my C drive from anyone, Hackers and such, while still allowing myself access to it?
