I went through that regedit thing and in that specific folder there were no filters at all to delete. Nothing worked.
thank you this was great most people make a 30 minute video of one way to fix it but you went all out thankyou so much keep it up man
Thanks bro.
I follow all steps and reboot my pc then i find my dvd icon.
Thanks a lot bro. If you're muslim, May god bless you.
This worked! I was almost to the end of the fixes, but it finally worked, Thanks!
If your drive is making noises or having I/O error or not recognising discs, your device is probably on the wrong SATA PORT, EACH HARDWARE IS ASSIGNED TO A SPECIFIC SATA PORT. If its on the wrong SATA port your drive will start making weird noises and failing to burn onto a disc, WRITE error, check your drives are on the correct SATA port.
Did not work for me, my drives were on the wrong SATA PORT, check that your drives are on the right SATA port otherwise you will face issues with burning to discs, I/O error is not the cause of the DVD/BD-RE drives it is that its on the wrong SATA PORT.
This is just a fucking stupid bullshit nothing else nothing less, i use atm my cd/dvd Ram and it shows up in when you open my compute/this device but it not want to shown up in devices & printers, i tried almost everything since last night till now what's now 11;20 AM . My PC is fired because of you 😔 in 4:29
Thank you so much the first 2 steps fixed my DVD drive I tested it with a CD 💿 and it worked . I thought it was broken turned out it was just faulty hardware that needed troubleshooting thank you man .
Good stuff, the registry editor worked for me.
My cd drive has power but no icon on device manager. The icon only showed up when I clicked "show hidden devices" under View tab. Tried to uninstall it and reboot afterwards and it still doesn't work. Now the cd drive icon is no longer visible on device manager. Also tried the register fix but still can't get it to work.
When I deleted the upper file and the lower file and then I restarted my PC and then it keeps on getting a bsod Everytime I turn on my PC it keeps on saying Inaccessible boot device How May I fix this problem?
no upper or lower filter listed
It turns out that it's not been shown on Device manager for some reason and after scanning I got it, great video mate
Next time make sure to mention it earlier 😊
Deleted upper and lower filters in a folder that seemed to have been for the disk drive. Bluescreened and now the installation was damaged. No thanks.
Thanks for your advice but my PC add devices don't show in control another device. I've tried some of the thing your suggested. Will try the reg edit tomorrow thank for your help , had just Google a page came up with everything you expected. Thanks great video's

so many pc s having the same issue with windows 10 and nobody seems to know the answer.i of course didnt have any filters, upper nor lower to delete, and nothing solved the issue with dvd. i suppose this is a too old a video.
I tried this but I can't even see my CD drive at all. I noticed that it happened after I uninstalled my windows media player & my VLC Player. Any suggestions?
Hi, I have a DVD issue: My DVD can play on a DVD Player but it cannot be played on a laptop, the DVD-Rom cannot detect the data on the DVD, when I visit disk management, it shows "No media". If no media, how come can play on a DVD Player? I will like to extract the data on my DVD but cannot detect means cannot extract data. Can you pls produce a video resolving this issue? Thank You.
Thank you sir, it is very helpful 🙏
My built-in DVD drive completely disappeared. It is not in control panel, hardware, programs, nowhere. Nada. Just gone. Windows 10 is the most piece of shit OS to ever exist in the Universe. In fact, almost each new version is junkier, buggier, slower and more unreliable than the last. Who don't they get more reliable, stable and faster over the years, instead of the exact opposite? I will never buy another Microsoft product or computer with Microsoft OS ever again. Ever. Total and absolute complete garbage, year after year, decade after decade.
Cheers, that helped a lot.
Thanks for the beautiful video. However non worked for me. Guess I'll have to give a repairer.
I fixed it. I was missing the SATA cable
Thank you
I just tried this and now I’m stuck in auto repair blue screen at startup 🥲
