How to Take a Screenshot on an iPhone



Learn how to take a screenshot on an iPhone 6, 7, 8, and X using the physical phone keys as well as how to take a screenshot using iOS / software only.

On an iPhone 6, 7, and 8, tap the home and power button simultaneously to take a screenshot.

On the iPhone X, press the power button and the volume up button at the same time to take a screenshot.

To take a screenshot using iOS / software only, click on Settings, General, Accessibility, AssistiveTouch, Turn On, click customize top level menu, click custom, click screenshot. Next, click on the home button on the screen and then click on screenshot.

    You can also simply say hey siri…give it one second…then say "screen shot"
    so it's "Hey Siri…screen shot" before it beeps or even as it beeps it will or she will still hear you, actually maybe ill turn that beep off cause its time consuming and only needed to know if shes listening from a distance,thanks though its quieter by pushing home/pwr. Multi grazie!

    My phone shuts down 50% of the time I screen shot. I hit both buttons quickly. I hate when that happens.
