The Intel model is not perfect but outside of Canada and especially in UK (prices are a bit better), it's totally been worth the money. I love mine, the soft lid has handled being checked into planes just fine and the only drawback is how loud the fans get to keep it cool

  2. I'm sure some people will like this laptop — it's not for me. But what I will say is HP seems to have done something I haven't seen much in a 16" laptop, and i absolutely love the idea. They took essentially a full-sized keyboard and chopped off the number pad. So you have backspace and forward delete, and the arrow keys are in the correct place (except the forward delete key, now looking more closely at it, is in a weird place…not sure we needed a 'pause' key in the spot where the delete key belongs). You also have the important page up, down, and home keys. I like it (except for, again, the weird delete key placement).

Hey matthew which would you recommend the ASUS Vivobook S 14X OLED or the hp pavillion 14 plus? Also which performs better according to your tests?

Your videos are the best in laptops review.
You should try giveaways to engage more audience
(And chances for people like me who can't afford these machines as a student πŸ˜‚πŸ˜)

I bought the 3070 model during a summer sale, it’s pretty good overall despite the weird build quality. I really hope HP makes some upgrades in the future.

I'm in the market for a new laptop so I've been watching a lot of reviews. Some reviewers say AMD runs hotter and others, like you, say that Intel runs hotter, it's confusing. Anyway, I will NOT be buying an HP laptop with their flimsy display screens that flap like hung out wash on a windy day.

What laptop do you advise for world of warcraft dragonflight? Im lf a good one for high settings

  9. A A

I think the hinge budget went to the sticker team.

82 fps in Cyberpunk with the 3070ti model, while in your 3060 model review you also had 82fps with the same settings/res? I'm assuming that number was a typo in the 3060 review.

I have te previous version and its awesome. love this laptop, even though its not the "prettiest", its 3070 and 165hz screen makes it my best desktop-on-the-go.

  12. Honestly id go with the AMD version. I love the extra batterylife AMD laptops tend to have. My g15 advantage edition can and has lasted 9-10 hours just browsing the web and youtube. And thats a gaming laptop. Super impressive to me so I gotta stick with AMD.

Hmmm the link you provided for ASUS – ROG Strix G15 Advantage Edition isn't showing 1,099 but 1,699?

  14. Trusteft

It's funny how people are now disappointed when a screen is not a 16:10. Used to be the other way around when you couldn't watch your DVD on your laptop with as small amount of black lines as possible.
Very loud fans and still very high temps and thermal throttling. At what point does this laptop kick you in the nuts?
    Meh.

    Good video.

the same shit over and over again, 0 innovation

  16. mQooz

Been using Omen 15 with 5600h and RTX 3060, flaw is omen's app is buggy as hell, it makes fan noise way louder when the app is not on and CPU temperature way higher than in the app.

  17. I’m always amazed at how much you can cover in such a concise way. πŸ”₯

  18. Treebsquire

Now would be a very dumb time to buy a gaming laptop with 40 series notebooks right around the corner.

  19. eric131313

Uhmm AMD model did hold pretty well considering it had 3060

  20. Joel Conolly

I only hope that they redesign the chasis once more so it'll have stronger top, tighter and nicer hinge and new and improve design and thermals.
Otherwise still a very solid option for gaming laptop that does business on the side. You won't be wrong getting this at all.

Fans sounded like the radio signal SETI got from the Zeta Reticuli system … boy, they must have some laptop fan noise problems up there 😁
