What's your favorite F1 team?
Americans talking about f1 is like Eskimos talking about palm trees
when yoy buy an alfa, you it with your plenty of soul and not with with your head.
the engine cost 2.5 m so
i don't want a expensive car. I want this showcar ๐
Not a brake light, tho. It's a light that blinks when is harvesting energy into it's ERS, so it warns people about being potentially slow in corners.
put some monitors around the car and play a few F1 racing games in it!
the abscense of the engine itself
Y'all remember when unbox therapy showed us cool tech gadgets for a certain price range? ๐ข
its like a small plane
ยฃ250k, no engine
It's just a show car nothing special
Try find some workshops who can put engine inside that, Lew
For those who think this is the real alfa romeo car lmao๐
it's cheap tbh If compared with the originals
While your sat in the cockpit, there is one key element not in place which is the headrest. There is a rule in F1 that drivers with all the fire suits, underwear, boots, gloves, Helmet and HANS device have five seconds to undo seatbelts, remove steering wheel and exit the car after an incident
That's not even close to the race car dude. That was just a car to announce the new regulations. Essentially no part from that car would fit the Alpha Romeo
If you haven't seen it, check out "Romain Grosjean crash" from a few seasons ago, his car went through the metal safety barriers at 140mph, broke in half then exploded into flames, and he walked away, unbelievable ๐ณ
Seeing this and how cramped it gets makes you realise how much more scary Grosjeanโs crash was being trapped in that thing with very little wiggle room with a blaze around you. Damn thatโs a terrible thought. Also very cool video. Surprised at how much noise you hear when climbing in.
ok this is absolutly mind blowing!!!
Living our Childhood Dreams here
I googled the price of certain F1 parts, ie rear wing, nose cone and I wondered how much the tyres are, on an average F1 weekend, an F1 car will go through $35,000 worth of tyres, and there's me worried about $100 per corner ๐
It should be a 6 point harnass (over shoulders, over lap and between the legs), also the connector on the steering wheel is normally embedded inside the steeringwheel disconnect (so no loose wires go to the wheel). Lastly there should also be a headrest so the opening usually is even smaller ๐
This is Unbox Therapy at it's Best
Anyone who knows anything about Formula one knows that "car" isn't even in the same dimension as a real race-spec F1 car. Not even close. Front crash structure is wrong, rear wing is in one solid piece, everything is too thick, the floor is insanely simple with no stays, suspension is wrong, FW flaps aren't adjustable, too few FF hangers, no electronics cooling and the list goes on. The only thing that's real on that car are the pirelli tyres.
Ahh you forgot the gearbox, brakes, plumbing, wiring, sensors, hydraulics haha. Lot more missing than just the engine ๐
Harness is probably a 6 point not a 4 point.
