First I’ve heard of it and thank you for sharing this. Almost paid the $99.00 dollar for the dev account again and possibly get stuck in the middle of it a month in or something like that. I have the download downloaded and was waiting to hear from other YouTube channels on how stable it really is before I went to install it – time delay or later tonight. I will now for sure install it tonight. 😊

I think they cancelled it because it had alot and i mean alot of payment problems i bought it yesterday and didn’t receive it but my money was transferred to apple i’ve been on the line with them and after 1 hour they said to me we dont know where your money went and i still dont know where it is now I basically lost my money

The reason they did this is because they cannot stop people from downloading the IPSW. When you do it that way, it would give you the developer profile on the device each time.
I don’t have a developer account but for some reason when I activated beta updates the ios 17 developer beta popped up and i installed it…

Well that answered my question of why I was able to download it. I paid for a developer account about 5 years ago and never really used it to my surprise last night noticed beta was available on my device but not my wife’s account.

Im a developer & i would be very careful about this. I can see a lot of screwed up phones & many apps haven’t had time to code up to the new release, including banking apps. Be careful people. If you must, backup first!!

You don’t get developer mode with just the free account, it seems. So can’t download the AirPods beta firmware…
