Is Apple's $3,500 Vision Pro actually WORTH it?!

Apple’s Vision Pro headset is FINALLY here and it’s BETTER than I imagined. The only problem is the price and whether these …

I am very impressed with what Apple managed to do with the Vision Pro. Great design, incredible technology, and a revolutionary user interface, all packed inside a very compact device. I especially loved the attention paid to the issue of user-isolation, and the clever way EyeSight solves it. I will certainly be one of the early adopters when it is released. Thanks for the video Vadim.

This will sell very well, you'll be surprised. I heard that it's a stand alone computer.

  3. Thanks for adding office to my list of people who I would recommend it to… Which is the traveling buisnus person and the minimalist out side of those 3 types of people I have no idea who esle would need this when a Meta quest and crome book can do it too.

Seeing this headset now makes me a little sad that Apple didn’t end up getting NFL Sunday Ticket. That could’ve been an incredible pair.

So I guess Apple really "changed the world" huh? Apple Vision Pro $3,499.00

Looks like a giant Apple Watch strapped to the face… at least apple is design consistent

As a disabled person, the price of Apple’s products puts owning such things out of reach. There’s an education discount that exists so why not an an accessibility discount, this would be most welcome.

This is not a future, it’s boomers from Apple thinking what future is and it’s cringe

$ 3,500 is MacBook Pro territory. This thing is going to fly off the shelves.

I can see this going the same way as Google Glass. And the video recording feature is just creepy. Apple is really missing Steve Jobs.

Is there no one wondering how long would it take for such a device in the mid/long term to destroy your eyes? I´d rather wait for the 2nd or 3rd gen. and let others be the guineapigs.

Guesture control: only works 5% of the time on my Apple Watch 6.

Google for lonely people (with miserable moments trying to pretend that it is for everyday use, for mother, father etc)

I can't wait to try out this device when Apple starts doing demos at their stores. As a sometime Mac and iOS developer, the one reason I would spend the entry fee to get this amazing new device is if I believed I could develop some unique and valuable apps for it and recover most of the up front cost. I'll definitely be wracking my brain over the coming month for ideas, because it really is revolutionary and opens up a whole new world of apps, games, and virtual experiences while also being very usable as a productivity environment. The price for this first generation is exorbitant, about double what it needs to be to cross into the consumer threshold. But that's close to what it actually costs to build a new device with so many novel elements. it will come down in price over the next few years and there will be a non-Pro version at some point, not to mention a slight refurb discount. I think this device will be a massive success and will finally bring AR and VR info the mainstream in a big way.

Fact check…. Quest and quest 2 can already show 3d movies, standalone..
This device ISN'T standalone.. it needs to be plugged into a battery, at least!

Quest 2 already had "ambient audio"

Do they expect people to wear this outside? Make it like Mac's ocular pat down sunglasses from It's Always Sunny and then yeah maybe, but that form factor? Hell no.

$4599 Canadian 😂 I rounded down our Canadian dollar shit… remember when we were younger and we ask for something that our parents never got us because it was so expensive. This is the product….we did a full Circle with this one…. my kid will not be getting this.

  18. Cre8

It’s going to separate people even more as we become more immersed in technology.

  19. Beriatan

You'll be surprised how many people will use avatars, especially the youngest generation

  20. Carlos C.

They are massive! I will wait for the Air version 😂

  21. Vincent J. Lee

Image running out of iCloud space with this device lol. the notification would nag all the time

  22. xaratemplate

That thing is insanely expensive. Will just watch the ultra rich buy this thing and waste money.

Don't be suprised if future iphones have the ability to record 3D videos and photos for viewing on the Vision. All they have to do is space out the cameras on the back. It would be the new version of "live" photos. Viewable in 2D on iphone and iPad but when viewed on the vision the second camera feed is blended in to give it depth. Canon also makes a 3D camera so you can expect some sort of compatible/universal file sharing coming in the future. This decive has an M2 chip. It's basically a M2 Mac Book Air with a 100ft screen if you want it. Why is nobody mentioning the Accessability of this device for people with limited mobility. Using your eyes, voice and easy pinching movements someone could esily surf the web that might usually have trouble with a traditional mouse and keyboard. The gen 2 of this device will be a huge deal and ill get that version for sure.

Thanks for your thoughts on new Vision Pro VR goggles. I'm not really interested at this time. I'll check back around 2025.

  25. Jay Frosting

Will the resolution of a virtual external Mac display be dependent on the Mac, or on the goggles? I like the idea of being able to sit on the proverbial beach and work with a huge virtual screen, powered by a li'l MacBook Air.

I rather buy a steam deck, with a AR glasses, or a quest 2. This is useless. Then again I'm no apple sheep no more. Have fun rich fools

  27. Michael Torrey

The only thing in this headset that would interest me is the cinema features and $3500 is a lot of money for an entertainment system. Hard pass.

  28. lchanceiv

I wonder how this would work with Mac mini

  29. Thomas T

it’s not in your ear but you can’t hear your environment anyway like with any bone conduction device.

  30. Zero Wolf

I just need some new and less affortable Apple monitors, this Vision Pro is bs

  31. Rafael

In Brazil, it will probably cost as much as a new car.

Imagine going for a walk on the beach, the streets in the city or in the forrest, while watching your favorit tv shows, and reading your facebook feed.
maybe just looking af youtube videos,
you can do all that on an iphone, but you really cant see things around you that much, and i do come across people every week that bumps in to me, becouse thay have there eyes on the phone, insted of on where they are going.
this could make obease people "work out" by walking, while watching tv.

  33. Enigmalake

Nah. Keep living in virtual world 😂
    And I love gaming btw.

  34. I always giggle when someone reduces a feature to a gimmick because their spouse won't use it that way. Apple set up FaceTime links so meetings and stuff like that could happen. If your wife wants the kids to see the grandparents, she obviously won't use this tool. If you have a partner needing, maybe you would. If you have a 1×1 FaceTime call etc… Think outside of your small sample sizes…
