Wasn't worth it to begin with. $200 more than MacBook Air and way way too underpowered to be a desktop
Betteridge's law of headlines:
"Any headline that ends in a question mark can be answered by the word no."
I honestly believe that the 27” iMac is dead and they will just stick with the 24” going forward.
I have that iMac and it’s fantastic for the things I do on that amazing machine. I have 1 terabyte SSD, I bought the iMac last year
Ehh the fact outside techs can’t help you fix em …. They are built to make them a profit , to fail at some point …. Things to consider
I prefered M2 mac mini and have a LG monitor, Works best for me. M2 mac mini is super fast as well.
Wish they made bigger display sizes.
Andrew, I want to get an iMac, but I need at least 27”. Do you think we’ll be getting that anytime soon?
Yes it’s still very relevant indeed.
I recently purchased a 6 year old refurbished iMac Pro, and it’s very relevant too!
Mine absolutely rocks. I use mine for Programming and a lot of productivity, it’s always multitasking and I haven’t once heard the fans switch on. Mine is 8GB ram and 1tb SSD
seen these in the Apple Store. They are beautiful, the colour and contrast/screen quality is great, better than most monitors.Â
The only issue for me is 24" is too small. It's worth remembering its 4.5k resolution, so equivalent to 26.5" at 4k. But still small, I am using a Mac mini with 32" at 4k for now, which is very much a standard in monitors. If they did a 27" iMac, that would be almost 30" at 4k equivalent which would make a lot of sense.
I used to have the previous gen iMac, which was well sized for its time, but for me the sizing is off compared to third party monitors now.
Imo no. Not with the M1 Mac Mini, as most people will likely already have a mouse and keyboard and you'll actually SAVE money in the long run by buying a separate monitor because iMacs haven't been able to be used as an external display since 2012…
Mine is still working great … as is my M1 MBA!
