New Key file name:

When you right-click on folders that support being moved on your Windows 11/10 computer, in the Folder Properties box, you will see the Location tab. But if for some reason the Location tab in Properties is missing, then we show you how you can add it back.

Issues addressed in this tutorial:
no location tab
no location tab in properties
no location tab in properties windows 11
no location tab on documents folder
documents folder has no location tab
why is there no location tab in properties
no location available
no location found vs location not available

If you try to open the folder via Libraries or Quick access, the Locations tab may not show. So open your User folder and then right-click on the folder in question, open it Properties and check if you can see the Locations tab or not. Also temporarily disable the UAC and then open the Folder Properties and see if you can see the Location tab and the Move button, or not. If you see it, make the desired changes and remember to activate UAC again after your work is done. If you still do not see the Location tab, then read on.

This tutorial will apply for computers, laptops, desktops, and tablets running the Windows 10 and Windows 11 operating systems (Home, Professional, Enterprise, Education) from all supported hardware manufactures, like Dell, HP, Acer, Asus, Toshiba, Lenovo, Alienware, Razer, MSI, Huawei , Microsoft Surface, and Samsung.
