Is the OP8 priced well enough for you to pick it up? Or are you gonna hold out for the OnePlus Z ?

I'm a kid who's about to get his first phone, and I am doing research on it. I originally thought that the oneplus 8 was what I was going to get, until you started mentioning the price, because of what is stated in 6:19 I am very happy I don't live in North America, because I live in the UK where the OP8 is £599. In my mind, a good deal.

I just bought the one plus 8 pro such an amazing phone, the one plus 8 is about just as good. If you want it i think youll be happy

Am i the only one that likes the curved edges of the one plus 8 pro? Yeah the edge detection isnt perfect, but i think its worth it for how visually appealing it looks

Hi Dave, first let me tell you I realy like your reviews, and then I want to ask you about what you think about buy the Oneplus 8 for 538$? Is a good deal? My budget is about 500$, and I looking a smartphone not too big 6.55" maximum, amoled with wifi6, 5G, very good camera and i also like the curved display. Do you know a better option?

I've watched your videos for quite some time now but this is the first time I've commented.

I have been shopping to upgrade my Moto G5 – the most phone I could afford three years ago. The problem with the Motorola phone is that it keeps working. Alas, I have outgrown what it can do and technology has moved on and soon I'm afraid that this phone will no longer be a viable one. It is good and dependable. But I needed something more.

I have been loyal to Motorola phones for years. I've never been disappointed and they are durable and dependable. Maybe they are good and boring, but that is what I needed. I nearly pulled the plug and went with the Motorola Stylus G, but the comments were all over the place on the product and it was not good enough to really make buying something new worthwhile.

I had considered the OnePlus line for quite some time and it was a substantially faster product than what I have. I'm not a big picture taker so the camera comments you made (well done) really don't have any sway with me. With the phone soon being upgraded to Android 11, this was a phone I'd consider. But the price put it out of my budget.

Until today… OnePlus 8 was being offered at $499 on their website and I pulled the trigger. This phone is a substantial upgrade for me; while it may not be for many people who paid a lot and have a phone better than my current one, but this is nonetheless worthwhile for those of us who aren't phone snobs and who are careful with our funds. The geekbench performance on this compared to my current one is about SIX times the performance and the ram and storage on board are double what I currently have.

Yeah, maybe this isn't great. But it is a competitive phone at $499. And I love the green color. Screen size and overall display composition are really good – not great. But good enough as an upgrade. I just hope this phone will be as troublefree as my Motorola.

Would you recommend this if it was at $499?

  12. Eric Chen

you move your eyebrows a lot while you talk 😀

  13. Danny Kim

I bought the oneplus 8 for 430usd is that a good price?

  14. Erwin Tan

i am revisiting old videos and smashing like buttons

  15. Carson Julvezan

just bought one for $350 on prime day so I guess that solves the price issue.

  16. bryant nonya

The OnePlus 8 pro is the most affordable flagship in 2021 because I got my 12 gig 256gb ultramarine blue OnePlus 8 pro for $609!

  17. James A.Ismail

What if it was priced for 400 bucks ? (Found one in that price)

  18. Tekka579

3 updates and a Prime Day price of 350.00 and this was the best phone deal ever. The camera has been fixed.

  19. Peco 1

Hey @Dave2D, I'm looking for a 400$ smartphone and around that price I can buy this OnePlus 8, or Pixel 4A or Galaxy A52. What would you choose ? Thanks 😀

  20. ez45

I picked up the OP8 on Prime Day 2021 for like 300 bucks and that was a fine deal. Wouldn't have gotten it at 500-700€.

  21. Shashi P

Got this for @ $249, few days back. 🤪

  22. jwo jiunn Kon

Me too got it for 300 bucks. For this price, op 8 have no competitor.

  23. andrew dot text

I watched this video last year and now I'm coming back after buying a OP8 at 400 USD during Black Friday. The real flagship killers are last year's phones now, folks.

  24. Lucas

Well the 8 is $299 now lol

  25. Andrew Pharr

Purchased this the past week for $200.80, tax and shipping included in that. I don't use the wireless charging on my current phone (Galaxy S9+) and didnt have to trade a device in so was an easy decision for the included features and specs. OnePlus has been reducing the price slowly for a while and below $200 was too good to pass up on amd makes its omissions easy to forgive.

  26. Han

For the worst of oneplus 8 variant, the tmobile version was on sale for $199 at oneplus site, that tell everyone how low the demand on this odd ball.

  27. Late January 2022 .
This phone costs 430 euros in my country . Is it worth it or not ?

Most normal folks won't care about the little nitpicks.
