RX 7600 vs RTX 4060 Ti 8GB: The Ultimate Comparison!!!

The 4060 Ti 8GB and the RX 7600 are the newest midrange GPUs from Nvidia and AMD respectively. While they don’t directly compete in the same price class, they can still offer an interesting comparison. In this video we look at what you get by spending more on the Nvidia GPU? Can it justify a 50% price premium?

Ahh now I get why 4060 is overpriced, its cause box it comes in is made of golden particles.

  3. Sarmed Alwan

Not sure if many people are gonna be cross-shopping these two tbh, 7600 vs. 4060 will probably be a much more relevant comparison

  4. F1neW1ne Gaming

Great comparison of entry vs mid range here. 7600 definately a budget entry level part.

  5. Mr Liquid Devil

i just played plague tale requiem yesterday. 7800x3d and 4090. i was seeing .1% lows in the teens, i turned off raytracing and my .1% lows jumped to 60. have you experienced anything like that in a plague tale requiem??????????

  6. Aniket Nandi

i found it stupid when they quote the question " is every game im playing involve ray tracing" and the proceeds to answer "no"

like what the hell, are you buying a current gen card just to play fps and older gen games?? no!! you buying a latest card to play upcoming AAA games at reasonable performance. and almost every upcoming games comes with " ray tracing"

  7. beri

4060ti vs 6700xt would be a more interesting comparison

  8. masakrer1

Hi Daniel, when do you think they will release 7700 or 7700 XT ? Is possible to have them released on July as an competitor for RTX 4060 TI 16 GB ?

  9. lev levinski

4050ti selling as 4060ti is marketing trick to jack up the price +100% more than it is worth 🤣

4060ti has pcie x8, so when 8GB is not enough, stuttering is emerging (spiderman very high + RT)

    1060 200mm2 PCIe x16 192bit bus 6GB 300$

    1660s 284mm2 PCIe x16 192bit bus 6GB 230$

    3050 276mm2 PCIe x8 128bit bus 8GB 250$

    4060ti 200mm2 PCIe x8 128bit bus 8GB 400$

gamers get less and less for their money.🙁

Do you remember when the starting price was 110$ for 1050? 48$ was the starting manufacturing cost and Nvidia was happy with 32$ gross margin). smaller TDP, cheaper board, smaller cooler, smaller airmail.

    1050 msrp 110 chip 9 2GB 12 board 20 cooler 7= 48 airmail 15 retail 15 Nvidia 32$

    1050ti msrp 150 chip 9 4GB 24 board 20 cooler 7= 60 airmail 15 retail 15 Nvidia 60$

    (2016,2019 GDDR5 1GB=6$ on DRAMeXchange)

    2023 DRAMeXchange GDDR6 1GB=3$

Nvidia says to Samsung: "We need GDDR6X average 6x 2GB chips for 10 million cards this year, what is your lowest price for 60 million chips?" and Nvidia gets a wholesale discount!

The real naming and pricing as it should look like this:

    4050 4060 msrp 200 chip 50 8GB 24 board 30 cooler 14 = 118 airmail 20 retail 20 Nvidia 42$

    4050ti 4060ti msrp 250 chip 66 8GB 24 board 30 cooler 14 = 134 airmail 20 retail 30 Nvidia 66$

The whole naming is just money scam

Milton Fridman said that companies are not responsible to its customers, they are responsible only to the stockholders. That selfishness is exploding at Nvidia!

AIBs get extra money only if the price is above MSRP. Retailer margin 7-10%.

Old amd gpus are best buy right now , from nvidia rtx 2080 and 2080ti are good and cheap

  11. Naman Kaushik

Might as well just buy a 3060 Ti if RT is a factor, it should be much better price/perf. I guess 4060Ti wasn't so bad since it made the 3060Ti get cheaper. But as of me, I'd rather pick up a 6700xt instead.

  12. yuehuang

50s card with a 60s name sold at 70s price with 80s fps using frame gen.

  13. Marshall

I have a 1660ti and want to upgrade to handle 1440p at constant 144hz/fps +, currently have an i7-12700kF and 16MB of memory and 1000W psu. What AMD and Nvidia card will be the most value? I've been an nVidia fanboy for most of my PC gaming life but AMD seems to be such a better value but the stories of driver issues has me a bit concerned. Anwyay, what's my best new and used option? Currently playing PUBG, Borderlands 3, and some Destiny 2 but want to try my hand at few AAA titles (Forsaken, Hogwarts, etc.)

  14. Mr GOLD

why every single amd gpus run hot ?

  15. Pasha

here where i live, cheapest 4060 ti is 500euro, atm cant, but like week ago u could find for same price 6800 non xt

  16. Abyss Will

I think you are using the phrase "PS5 Exclusive" wrong.
Why are you guys calling games PS5 Exclusives if they are available for PC too???
just because it was released first on PS5???
so We could call Genshin impact an android exclusive??? even tho it's available for ps4, ps5, pc, apple ???
    Yeah that doesn't sound right

  17. Poz-Moe

Daniel stop doing comparison videos "between GPUs whose prices are so different no one considering buying one is actually considering buying the other" Challenge: IMPOSSIBLE!!!

  18. Poz-Moe

once again Daniel insists on comparing a 2021 Porsche 992 to a 1989 Volkswagen Rabbit, just for yall thinking about the Porsche but still interested in the Rabbit!

  19. James Coleman

    I love the 4060ti power usage can’t wait for 4060 for 299

  20. Blue

The 6650XT is currently 230 and it's only 20% slower than the 4060 Ti.
In other words: The 4060 Ti is 25% faster for almost twice the price. The 4060 Ti just doesn't make sense imo. I also don't think RT is really an advantage of the 4060 Ti, because due to 8GB VRAM it struggles to run max settings anyway, especially in newer or future titles.

  21. Wobbo

Hahahaha, of course this is the one video all the AMD dickheads will ignore.

  22. Timmy Johns

Well the 4060 ti has many advantages too, lower power for 30% fps lead is a lot and all the software features! 7600 looks like a slight up powered 6600xt.

  23. Artemis

soooo 20-30% more performance for 50% more cost
    very nice Nvidia

  24. Maxi Iroh

NVIDIA's GPUs seem to manage 8GB better than AMD cards, it's almost like they have an extra 500mb or 1gb of extra VRam hidden.
Meanwhile they also had the driver overhead thing, so never buy a NVIDIA GPU if you have a midrange CPU.

  25. Maxi Iroh

4060Ti for $350 and the 16GB version for $400 would've been very acceptable.

  26. Maxi Iroh

30% more perfomance for 50% more money.
If you just game, it makes no sense to buy NVIDIA, specially if you have a midrange/low end CPU(bc of the NVIDIA driver overhead).

  27. Avro Arrow

Ok, so you've pitted the RX 7600 against a card that is $130 more expensive so you've established that you don't mind pitting cards against each other that aren't in the same price or performance tier. That's actually pretty cool because now you should switch it up and compare the RTX 4060 Ti against the RX 6800 XT, a card that is only $100 more expensive.

I do think that would be pretty enjoyaable.

  28. Clem

Both cards will bottleneck pcie3 boards. I would rather buy the 3060 ti gddr6x cause it's cheaper ,and it will work better on pcie3 boards. They're just as fast at 1440p in most games, and at 1080p sure 4060 ti is significantly faster but let's face it ,you ain't gonna game at 1080p as long as it's not a competitive type of game.

  29. Suzie1818

@danielowentech I have watched lots of your recent videos on benchmarking various GPUs and I noticed you always benchmarked Forspoken only with Ultra-High preset, which is kind of meaningless and frustrating because this preset is not meant to be used for the tier of the GPUs you tested in the first place (just looking at what framerate you got) and actually the Ray-Tracing option in this game has been not recommended by all reviewers on the internet already and most gamers would not like to use RT while playing this game. You have always been including practical presets for benchmarking other games but why not Forspoken?
