We have 8 displays in the house and I have only used tne touchscreen to do something once or twice.

The ones in the bedrooms display a clock face, the ones in living areas scroll though our Google images. We pretty much use voice for e erything.

Give me a "squircle" watch face option Google … and Samsung.

Regarding sensors showing states in the new app: I don't see any new sensor states. In the footage the sensor state that is shown seems to come from a thermostat. I've been able to view my thermostats current temperature (not just the set temperature) even before this update – I guess what you mean is that this current temperature is shown on the home view instead of only on the devices' screen within the app, or are any other sensors beginning to show their states that I've missed?

  4. I like the Google updates, Brian. I also heard that the Weather Frog will be hopping on other Google Home devices.
I'm hearing more about Home Assistant and the new developments. This might be the time for me to get started here.

Yes relevant google information thumbs up for this one

Great review. "Stop" is a neat feature. Sad news on lack of routine triggers. Does Google have a drop-in feature like Alexa Calling?

I have the update but cannot get the secondary pull down for the room to work

Thanks for the information Brian. Appreciated as always. Yes, a review of the new Google application would be great once it’s in a more finalize state. I know how to use it but it’s always nice to pick up on all the small tricks and features that I might miss.

For Gboard, I miss the “G” search key that has been replaced with the now useless left or right arrow, and now that they centered the keyboard for tablets and foldable phones it would be nice to see an option for keyboard width like we have for height because I’d love if they keys stretch to both screen edges

Thanks! I joined the program and I did notice the cards looked different when I went in to join. For me, when I swipe up I get the same 4 icons with one that says see all. I hit that and all of them came. Pretty cool. I would definitely like a walk through 😊

No update for nest hub max in the UK, boo!

  12. Vijay Rana

I still don't have the app launcher here in the UK (multiple Nest Hub maxs and various gen 1 and gen 2 hubs too) even though north America seemed to have got it many months ago. I want to know what I'm doing wrong! …. the preview programme setting didn't help unfortunately. hopefully we'll get these changes

We know you as Brian? So you're really not Brian?
With commands, I've always found shorter is better. With the echos I've always just said "lights to 50" or whatever I needed. Adding google into my home this year I found the same commands worked. But now if I don't include the word "percent", google sets my lights to Kelvin. Is there a setting somewhere for this?
How do you skip an alarm with the 2nd gen hub? Thursday night I asked to skip tomorrows alarm since it was Good Friday but it canceled the alarm completely.

Yes would love a full walkthrough video! There are so many settings I never know what's what and what's new.
