Stay away from TCL. I bought my wife an Android phone 3 weeks ago, her first ever, moving from IPhone. After 2 weeks the screen went white and then black.

Took it back to the shop a week ago. They said they'll send it to TCL. Haven't heard anything 1 week later.

Should have bought her a Xiaomi instead. Last time I'm buying any TCL. Build quality is rubbish.

  2. I’m pretty sure Facebook is shitting their pants right now … I know it’s somewhat unrelated but this feels more like something that with bring about the acceptance of VR. It’s portable light and sleek.

Very innovative idea. It'll make you look like Stevie Wonder using a laptop but totally worth it. 😂

They're not shipping to my country like the nreal which fucking sucks. I did however also come across another similar project called the DREAM GLASS FLOW. Can you take a look at those ones too?

Hi Ben, NReal has 2 modes of view, fixed screen or screen follows where u turn. Does TCL Nxtwear S has similar modes? Or just fixed? I couldnt find any info on this. Thanks

They still look too nerdy for my liking. This is one tech I'll wait for to mature before jumping on it. The price is going to drop when more competitors get on this as well. Nice review Ben 👍🏾

It looks similar as the Thunderbird Air. almost 90% similarity

An Nreal competitor. I think the only thing the Nreal has over this is an app on the phone since the Nxtwear seems to rely solely on the outer interfaces of the phone or laptop it attaches to. It does help with keeping the price low. Either way both still work similarly but the Nxt may be advantageous in simple connect while the Nreal is better in longevity since type C to type C video out is easily accessible, unless Nreal disables other cables usage.

Nreal offers options like multiple screens using AR, this seems to be just a stationary screen in front of you, so not really the same thing. I'm still waiting for one of those that can get me 3 screens on windows and isn't the Lenovo Thinkreality A3, which costs an arm.

The Nreal glasses are made for VR/AR. Can these do the same thing?
