BIG Shout Out to Adam. Thanks again mate. This is a lovely watch. But so is the RHD. I can see one pro and one con to the crown switch, looks aside. Which one would you buy? Whihc one woudl I buy? You’d better watch the video! Cheers, Jody

  1. Seven lines of text on the dial! That’s not a watch but a wrist billboard.

  2. Kind note Jody: It's pronounced Pélagos not the other way around. Us Greeks will be thankful

I'd rather have most of my watches in LHD version. The huge modern crowns tend to maul my back of the hand.

  4. James Bell

Ordered a pelagos lhd purely because I thought about the issue of no crown digging in. But changed order to a regular. Glad I did. However. I unfortunately scratched the glass and the watch went back to Tudor for repair. They have had the watch over 6 months now and won’t have it back for another 4 they estimate. Tried reaching out to Tudor, but emails have gone unanswered. Has left a sour taste in my mouth to be honest. And still no idea how I managed to scratch it. I’m sure the sour taste will disappear when it’s back on the wrist.

Love the Pelagos but no way to afford one. How about testing some homages.

  6. Greame Spens

Did you know that thalidomide existed as a racemate mixture and the nomenclature uses the Latin of sinister and rectus and it was the sinister form that caused the terrible side effects.

  7. Scott SJ

Too thick and big for me. I still have my eye on a BB58 original color. It's much thinner and I think it weighs about the same or maybe a little less. I love the clasp on there, I wish all watch bracelets were that easy to adjust micro-adjustments.

  8. Iain Cook

The 39 pelagos destroys this and the RHD IMO

  9. Razor Burn

I'll admit the chances of ever owning a Tudor of my own are slim due to the price but doesn't men I can't appreciate seeing one in all its glory so thanks Jody for the review and Adam for the loan!

  10. You were spot on with your thoughts on the clasp in your original review of it, but I am glad they tried it.
Hopefully the Pelagos range will expand with a new 42/22mm one day 😈

I'm a Southpaw as we like to say, and I couldn't make the transition. Probably psychological but it was way too uncomfortable. I love the Pelagos and its matte black finishing against the matte greyish titanium but it's a chunky monkey. I'm going to take a look at the P-39 to see how it wears and feels.

Ahh I was disappointed with the outcome of that intro.. I was just about to ring my mate, Dr. Evil, and tell him about the new watch Jody told us about. 🙁

  13. Wretchedsoulz

I have this watch and the Ranger, both are excellent, a little talked about fact is under the logo on the bracelet is a shield shaped cut out, when worn 2 bits of the clasp push through to make the Tudor Sheild logo on your wrist that can be seen when the watch taken off in the braclet indention on the skin. amazing!

It’s for left handed people, of course it’s going to feel weird doing any adjustments if you’re right handed…

  15. GeeMood

Love the Pelagos, a grail of mine. I'm a lefty but because of wearing right handed watches all my life, my dominant hand for winding and time setting is my right hand 😂, so there ya go. Great review as always Jody. Always remember, Leftys are always right 😎…

  16. Matt Clarke

Do they just turn the case upside down when they produce LHD models? 🤔

  17. Judas Iscariot

I only guessed the twist because of me watching Italian football on RAI and the commentator always screaming "sinistra!"

  18. V

That 6 o'clock paragraph needs to be moved up by a line, the last one is almost touching the indice. Should have expected better at this price.

  19. NickJames

Love this watch. However, as an alternative I’d go for the Sinn EZM3. I prefer the looks and the thinness of that model. Movement and clasp aren’t as good but I’d happily compromise on those for the increased wearability and price saving!
