This could have been much simpler. Paste, grease are the same and very easy to use. No excuse not to use it. Thermal pads are only for people like me who have jobs testing many CPUs for wholesale reasons because it creates no mess. For people with a square CPU its just a simple dot in the middle of the CPU about 1/8" wide and tall. No fancy methods you see on youtube if the CPU is square.

2:40 i know yous probably just at random picked that photo and you probably dont know but that 2019 edition MX-4 is fake i found out the hard way when my PC started running stupid hot after i used that shit. easy way to tell is the QR code on the back scan it with your phone and it will take you to the official site if its real you can enter the draw to win some money or if its fake it will give a counterfeit notice.
