Then lets talk about the elephant in the room 😉 Why should I have an IPad ? If Ipad is as capable as a macbook pro which I assume it is, why not just make a 2 in 1 laptop with MacOSX on it ??? Why you are creating new problems while there already weren't any ? Ipads became a thing because it was difficult to carry around old technology Laptops. But they didn't have the technology to make them as fast as a laptop so that's why they used this already created limited system called IOS which they were using on their phones. Since the technology caught up and we are able to see All in One Laptops which are basically tablets why they don't create a MACOSX Tablet ??? Let me tell you the answer … Because Apple will always be the gritty ass Apple and never will ever actually care about their customers and their conveniences. They dont wanna loose the pouring money coming out of the Appstore . That's why I am selling my Ipad Pro 12.9 and buying a Galaxy Book2 Pro 360 where I can use a full Windows with all of it capabilities either in tablet or laptop mode. I am tired of this shit. You can't even connect a midi keyboard play your VST while another program is real-time playing other sounds without latency. That's how limited IOS and Ipad OS are. Somebody should really create a project in the world where they prove that it is possible to install MAC OSX to an M2 Ipad… Now they are trying to charge even more to people who already bought the softwares for MACOSX …

Apple should not force users to just load iPadOS on their M equipped ipads – they should give users the OPTION to load MacOS on them when they were first released, even if that ability is introduced as an "unsupported" feature…..

I want to see a showdown between the M1 and M2 iPad pros.

I'd like to see a video of davinci resolve on the iPad Pro M2 vs. the MacBook Pro M2 or Air M2

Does this mean that the latest A15 iPad Mini could use Resolve for iPad to edit and process 1080p and/or 4K footage?

  6. Premier

Microsoft Visual Studio should be next

  7. Alex Mayer

Apple should've brought final cut pro to the iPAD.

I wonder if it doesn't struggle at all on editing 4K 60FPS at least with few tracks. M1 was poor, M2 was less powerful even M1 Pro wasn't enough for me (This might due to insuffiicient RAM 16GB, according to Activity Monitor)
Or function limited iPad edition's system requirements is lower than Desktop?

You forgot to tell us the specs of what iPad you used to do the Resolve 18 for iPad demo. I have no idea if you’re using an M1 or M2 iPad with how much memory? I have a 12.9” M1 with 2TB of storage. Will Resolve 18 for iPad work with mine?

Okay Apple… gauntlet dropped. Bring out FCP on the iPad Pros, this is embarrassing for you.

I’d absolutely love to see this running on an m1 iPad Pro pretty please 🙏🏾

This just make me Want to buy the iPad Pro as my Next device for video editing

  13. Nice video. It's great that Apple is trying to bring pro apps to the iPad. But it's just one app and that too with a lot of pressure. Apple should redo the iPad OS for the Pro series. Stage Manager sucks and is totally buggy. I am looking ahead to Freefrom as the only meaningful update on iPad OS 16. Bringing native apps like Photoshop and Illustrator would be so good. There is still a huge disparity in features comparing Desktop vs iPad in such apps.

Will the M3 Ipad Pro be able to do 12K?

  15. Givenchy Homme

Very cool, but how hot is it? I can't imagine this thing is going to run cool.

  16. Anurag Meena

Can you compare Ipad Pro M1 vs Ipad Pro M2 video editing capabilities ?

  17. Comes Ignotus

Based on the title I first thought someone managed to install a normal OS there, but unfortunately no.

  18. Ward Willems

Hi What a great video again! I would love to see the comparison m1 pro m2 pro but not only on the 12inch. It would also say something about sticking to m1 or switching to m2. Please do so!

What does that even mean the iPad Pro finally Pro? Seriously, get over the marketing naming convention of those brand!

Guys why are all the youtubers are compairing the devices with bunch of video production apps. What, is ipad pro is a pro device because just got a video production app? So limited point of view. Really disappointing. After the apple silicon comes out, which is amazing most of the performance, all techtubers are started to act like video encoding and rendering is the only job in tech industry. And nothing more. Just a quick question! Don’t you know anything else to compare? Gpu or cpu intensive tasks? Or memory intensive tasks to compare pro and max oriented cpu. If you dont know, please go and get consultancy about what you need to do. Stop reproducing the same videos with artificial excitement.

This is everything I’ve been waiting for. Could you look into how compatible projects would be between a pc desktop and iPad pro?

  22. Tanjim Diganta

make a video on youre video editing journey and what you are doing at this moment for video editing and also for some motion.

  23. Benjamin Sunne

I’m interested to see if my 8K 60p 12bit Nikon NRaw files are supported! Davinci Resolve is the only editor for Mac that supports it. So I’m really hoping that the iPad version would as well. Not sure if Max Tech will see my comment but if you do and would like I could send you some footage to try. If interested?

  24. Please make a comparison between M1 and M2, please!! This should have been done by Apple ages ago… And Adobe should follow suit too.
