Eufy is a good, lower cost option for outdoor use. Id love to get one of the EufyCam 3 devices to watch my driveway.
Though I can't recommend anyone use any Eufy cameras inside their house for two reasons: First, they had a server side update that "accidentally" gave users access to other users cameras. While every network connected device is likely to face some sort of bug or flaw like this, when it comes to internal cameras, this type of screw up is unacceptable. Second, if you wanted to try and solve the problem of their servers giving you, and possibly other users access to your camera by using the cameras offline, unfortunately that may not be an option. Some of their cameras intentionally disable functionality after 24-48 hours of being unable to contact Eufy servers. If it were just the AI features/image object detection that would be one thing, but your continuous recording to a local SD card is also disabled. There's no technical reason for it to do this, so I can only assume it's to push their cloud services, and that's just hostile to their users.

My dad is such a security geek (idk what else to call this obsession with security 😂) but we've got a few cameras (old cctv hd only tho) and each window has bars so there is no entry or exit point other than the doors. These would be such a great gift for him!!!

We are moving to a new home to grow our family and I would use eufy system to monitor our home. Also catch the kids if they try sneak out. Lol😂This system would help with my PTSD because I will less anxiety episodes because I would be able to monitor my home (safe space) on my mobile devices. @ecintron96
