  1. I'm guessing this solution isn't hot swappable, so my question is this: will I have to turn my notebook off or put it to sleep to disconnect it? Or is it recognized by the computer as an external drive?

  2. yuh!

    Thunderbolt is 10 gbs max
    Thunderbolt 2 is 20 gb/s max

Wow… I can honestly say I feel very stupid… Just starting to seriously video edit enormous files for work… I have been searching and searching everywhere for a solution for my VERY SLOW USB 3.0 external drives WHILE EDITING! Thank you very much for this information! It is not commonly known.

Hi. Great video! a little confused about how it works… so we will have to plug in both SSD and the UASP to our notebooks?Because at one shot in the vid i only saw the UASP connected. Thanks!

Nice vid but how do I know if my computer supports UASP protocol ver USB 3.0? I have a Dell Inspiron 7567 2017

@ Dave – Found some $3 USB 3.0 to SATA III UASP cables on Amazon.
Are these complicated cables or will a $3 cable do the job?
    Thanks
