Microsoft Remove System Control Panel on Windows 10, but don’t worry its just hidden and can be brought back. System Control Panel was removed from Windows 10 20H2 and soon some other older features will be removed and moved to settings panel.

Bring back system control panel. Do you use it? Do you care? Smash the LIKE Button 👍

So does right clicking on the "this computer" icon in the explorer screen and go to properties not work anymore ? because in win10 2004 that still works though 😉 or just make a new folder to the "godhelp page" with this command .{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C} in short right click on the desktop and add a new folder and name it .{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C} That then will create a folder whit nearly all settings one might want to control. 😉

Windows 10 2022… "Please do 4 somersaults before you can view your emails …. Note: Your webcam must be switched on to verify this action was completed…."

No matter what, they still can't kill off the classic remnants of Windows as people will quickly find a way to bring it back.

Damn , the icons on Windows 10 are so ugly .

type in search bar CONTROL PANEL when the results show it …. right click pin to task bar.

  7. Pit Lazarus

What functionality is lost with removing system from control panel? You can still join domain/workgroup in settings, which is really the only thing I use it for.

  8. Lou F

That's not the Control Panel I'm used to seeing.

…. hmm 🤔 .. the guy is kinda not right … the win32 apps to Window-NT are still in there – the new (win10 2015) setting control pannel is simply a Gui – that short-cuts to the settings, for non – command line understanding what switches (config files ".ini,.sys.bat,.(they even hide them as .dll- .conf " .. the underlying actions are all/mostly doubled from the Win32 apps … (control panel, task-manager, MSConfig (use MSConfig to turn off services without Braking your system ) , exciter …. there is no plans to take out the system32 apps unless they brake -in which case they will be left in the system32 folder for backwards compatibility and debugging (for development coders ) .. see (file manager from 1996-2006 "taken out with win-7 // 8.1" – it is still in system32 ) exascample2 . control panel/devices "still works better than Bluetooth setting menus ……….. Microsoft has almost completely taken Unix/BSD/Linux settings/control architecture

one day windows (windows 12) will be a Linux Gui – with backward compatibility (probable wine) — their already aware the time of windows is at its end … (windows are only on 2 – 3 % of computers (cell phones are a computer – with an OS "android is a Linux distro _) and "windows games/programs "are now running faster on Linux (wine /proton) than windows can run them … and also wine is backward compatible with old games that can't run on windows 10 *command and conquer: general's, diablo, diablo2, almost all DX-8.1 and earlier:$@ .. windows is a dead OS, hanging on life-support like apple-/Mac OS 8.1 // 9

That's why MS switched to rolling release model. You can't really have older features and up to date version of Windows anymore. You either get older features OR updates. Not both.

Hi britech I am addressing you because I have a problem with Windows Defender -When I open Windows Defender and go to allowed threats I do protection history it closes suddenly I would like to have a solution for this problem how can I do it

  12. John Campbell

Lots of detail on finding icons, but I missed how you got the control panel address on 20H2?

  13. Andrew Small

Wonder if there's an echo chamber problem here, where typical Control Panel users also typically turn off the usage telemetry. This would skew Microsoft's data on UI navigation towards the new design.

Personally I was overjoyed to have EDGE forced upon me last week, no questions asked, Do you want M$ Edge?
M$ know what we want, we just haven't learned to accept they know better…

go into where it says my pc left click press on properties no problem

  16. N G

I prefer the classsic system over the new…. The new remind me a child tablet
Instead of a real pc! 😁

  17. Object 108

Windows 10 is getting shit they force edge onto people to use it now they take everything away that we like, stick your windows 10 yup your ass I am going Linux

  18. Richard25000

I prefer the old style, it started going down hill from XP with their menu based control panel, but ultimately what annoys me more about later versions of Windows is the lack of a complete replacement.

We have half a control panel, half a new settings menu, half of the sub items call old items half of them are new menus.

It should have been a complete refresh from top to bottom. It could have been implemented fully and in a slick manor from the start not this broken mishmash of half updated and incomplete change we've had for the last however many years.

  19. Garfielf

I don't think they can truly really get rid of the Control Panel features like that. Sure it'll just redirect to Settings but those features are here to stay for a very long time. The Control Panel is so tied in with File Explorer and the Kernel as a whole so it'll most likely be hidden for the daily user but still accessible if you know how to get there.

  20. Shoult55

You've made it SO much harder than it needs to be. All you need to do is type CONT into the search bar and BOOM. There you are. Done.

  21. John Athanasiou

Wished MS would concentrating on fixing their bugs instead of faffing around with the UI.
The system cpanel was simple & easy to use & also in instructing others over the phone.
They're getting rid of useful features like System & soon Snip with with overcomplicated wannabe macOS type interface.
Thanks for sharing Brian & just wondering, does "cpanel" bring up control panel > System in 20H2?

Formatted laptop two days ago wasn't able to find this… They're making me switch to Linux everyday more and more

  23. i will continue to use W10 LTSB 2016 until a new windows comes out with tha return of control panel

    big mistake on Windows

  24. TwinerJack

if im not mistaken, all you need to do is open "my computer" and then right click on some empty space -> proporties. and you should have it

  25. Whyte Rhomer

The old system information is still in the lastest version of 20h2,
Just open the file explorer, and right click to any blank space inside of "this pc" and select properties

  26. Haki

Strange even though i have this update, i don't have that problem
