    Get a Mac.
Windows will slow down over time as long as the OS' key component is the registry.
Also, how many tens of gigabytes has Win10 received updates thus far? Has to be way above 30Gb by now? What on earth can there still be left to fix 😀

Thanks for the tips, as personal preference, to get rid of the dust, I would rather use a vacuum cleaner along with an hand brush or using an hose with the brush already available at the end of it

Does using a video speed controller to speed up videos affect how much credit/$$ a channel gets for people watching a video?

There's an easy, one step, solution. Delete the malware (windows), and install a real OS (Linux). Problem solved! LOL! I'm running a rig I build three years ago, and it's been running continuously ever since. I only reboot once a month (whether it needs it, or not), and it still runs as fast as the day I first turned it on.

My PC never slowed down until after I downloaded the updates. Then, every time I booted it up I noticed how much longer it took . Then I noticed that it took more time to load programs that I never had problems loading before. Even the internet seemed to run slower. It became a real hassle, so I uninstalled the update then turned off automatic updates and ever since then my PC has not slowed down one bit. That was back when I was running windows 95. to this day I've tried to install updates and got the same slow results. So I went and turned off windows updates and uninstalled the last update and my computer is back to running like it came back from the factory. Since 95 I've often wondered if the updates intentionally slowed down computers so people would be forced into buying a new computer. They always claim they're doing security updates, yet who here has ever been hacked without clicking on a link, just being on the internet? Who here has actually had their system taken over without first clicking on a bogus link? Not me. I think the security they're talking about is their own financial security needs updated so they slow your computer down just so you'll buy another, hence giving them more financial security.

By design. Windows installing updates and revisions of their operating systems store bloated files that effects performance over time. Only install critical updates and only at your discretion. Turn off auto update

Biggest reason a PC slows down over time because of running Windows, I have no idea how Apple resolves this but I haven't noticed any of my Steam games running through PROTON slowing down in Linux, but like the utuber here my Laptop is a powerful system.

Windows 10, 4gb ram with everything possible disabled at start up.
No excess programs but so slow. Just back after a month and installed updates which locked up the computer for two hours with 100% disc useage etc! 100% is a common problem,

The simplest answer to the Question, "why does my PC get slower over time" is Arthritis. this can be cured with a single or double cHIP replacement. The symptoms can be reduced in the meantime by taking Non Steroidal Anti Bloatware tablets daily. These can be bought over the counter or your doctor can write you out a subscription for them.

The good thing about using Firefox browser is its got more personal security than chrome and uses more graphics on the GPU rather than the CPU.

My 4790k doesnt seem to get slow, this is why I havent updated it, but even though its less of an issue with SSD's I cant break the habit of 'separation of data' to keep fragmentation down , it also pays dividends at backup and restore time or in the event of a problem with a partition as it limits what you lose access too, also I stop things running at startup that I dont use, this has been a problem since win95, a trick I have been using for 20+ year is using a swapfile of a fixed size – this keeps it contiguous so it will run quicker as ir prevents it expanding and contracting on the media causing lots of fragmentation as it goes, this was done only after a baseline was done with perfmon over the course of a week to monitor my resource usage and added an extra 20% then rounded up to the nearest multiple of 2
