It is a truly awesome phone even better that Fold, but there is one disadvantage: I brake an inner screen, with z fold I can go to any Samsung service worldwide, with Mix Fold I just continue to live with the broken one, because it is a regional limited phone, which is really sad.

  2. Unan1mouz

I hope there will be more affordable foldable options in the near future.. 😊 Xiaomi would prolly be the cheapest of them all.

  3. mib1800

How is Xiaomi support nowadays? Is it still the release and forget type. Is the original mi fold still receiving updates or dead in water?.

  4. John Mc

Just use the supplied case and kick stand for flex mode!

  5. Roland Oravec

Notifications are coming delayed on Samsung Fold as well, in fact I needed to do the same procedure You were explaining. Great review as always! 👍

I wld buy any foldable phone over samsung foldable phone. I have s2 then note 2. I hated samsung after note 2. I jumped to op3 than 6t and went back to note 20 ultra cause of 20mp camera. I hated my note 20. Too many bloatware and shitty speaker. Op still kick any samsung phone. I will never buy another samsung phone again even with their promotion going on right now to trade in and get fold 4 for $900. Waiting for any foldable phone to hit the us.

Thank you for the review! How is the battery life compared to Samsung Fold 4?

  8. hbgstorm

I still think huawei is the best they put the p40 pro plus 10X ZOOM LENS IN THEIR FOLD THATS THE BEST THING SAMSUNG SHOULD DO AND NO NO THEY DON'T.

  9. caidicus

Xiaomi is doing too well, I worry what the American government might do to stop them.

Throw some spying accusations at them, then ban them from using Google Services, just like Huawei.
I sure hope that doesn't happen.

Thanks for another great video, Ben.

07:01 can you rotate the phone so the youtube app rotate accordingly?

  11. Hill Adam

Fold 1, 2, 3 USER HERE. Samsung should fired their Design and Creative CEOs. MARK THIS SAMSUNG GALAXY S23 ULTRA WILL BE MEDIOCRE JUST LIKE THE fold4.

  12. TheYoutuber

Same here. I am happy that this device exists because it will push the competition forward.

  13. MagicInventor

Technically the Huawei Mate XS 2 is the thinnest and lightest foldable by 1mm when closed. 5.4mm also unfolded. Lighter weight.

  14. Sweetest Son

Samsung has no competition for now cuz Huawei has gone to "sleep mode". The wake up will be unbearable 😴

  15. mark shumaker

it wont flip over if you turn the phone sideways for split screen?

  16. M S

Like the Vivo Fold, the inability to expand YouTube while in split screen mode is a bummer. Will it make a difference if the user manually rotates the phone horizontally? Is the inner screen rotation locked all the time?

  17. mark shumaker

rainy an cloudy days can produce some of the best pics do to no over saturated lighting of the son… good times

I like this foldable but two things I really don't like, no wireless charging and no selfie camera on the inner screens like the Vivo X Fold. The light weight is great and might just be enough to overlook the two flaws. I'm really interested to see if Vivo can come close to the weight of this foldable. I'm looking to a new phone, so I'll see what Vivo gives us the next couple of months.

  19. Connor Mcleod

Hi. It may not have flex mode but with case it can. Stay in flex mode.

  20. Jin Kim

xiaomi did ok but I am still sticking with samsung. it is much more reliable device than xiaomi and a lot cheaper for samsung users due to high value samsung trade-in and extra stuff they throw at. I got fold 4 512gb + free s-pen case + galaxy watch 5 for $900 after trade in s22 ultra. this is much better deal than buying xiaomi and sell my s22 ultra on ebay or facebook. as long as samsung keeping their awesome trade-in program and releasing awesome device, i don't see myself switching to different brand.

Used to be a longtime Samsung owner. Went through galaxy fold 1,2,3, Huawei Mate Xs, X2 and last week finally got my hands on Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 and all I can say is it's an absolutely amazing piece of tech. I've been using it with T-mobile in the United States with no network issues. All google play services work like magic (including Google pay), 67w adapter charges mix fold 2 to 100% in no time. The screen is crystal clear runs very smoothly. Most importantly – the front screen is not a gimmick, it's a proper resolution screen unlike galaxy fold 2. There are a couple of negatives though, had to spend some time in settings in order to get all notifications to work properly (thanks for mentioning this Ben) and yes, the camera is unfortunately not as good as fold 4. All in all – not releasing this globally is a mistake. It would give Samsung a run for their money. Now I wonder who's gonna release a first rollable phone to the market.

Always love your review, straight up to the point.

Great review and I agree that Xiaomi is offering samsung great competition. In a year or two if samsung is not carefull it will deservedly be left in the dust by chinese companies. My biggest two issues with the Mix fold two is the lack of flex mode and inability of split screening horizontally. If they fixed those it would definitely be a better overall device than the fold 4.

On a sidenote I guess you don´t care at all about following the duo 2 trajectory but you should avoid making statements like "its a phone that is notorious for its bad software". It has actually fixed its software issues quite a few months ago and even the mainstream media acknowledges this. It can attest to this as it is my only device and I would not trade it for any device that exist at the moment.

  24. I like the feature of Xiaomi that it can dual app all, Samsung only some social app but Samsung got better ui experiences and the most thing for me is Sound quality and screen quality is far better

  25. Billy K

3:54 "The hell is this guy doing?"" Caught me off guard 🤣

  26. I bought Vivo x Fold …..I can handle the little extra weight for a powerhouse machine that is like burger with everything

  27. I prefer all notifications stopped, as I only want them from certain. Apps…..I hate it when all apps bombard by default with notifications…

  28. Kenneth Cham Wu

Ben, please do a comparison between this Xiaomi and the Huawei XS 2.

  29. Thomas Roughley

We need to see these type of Devices in N. America. This would be a very credible alternative to Samsung

  30. Jk2000

Nothing will compare with the features of z fold 4

  31. Aaron Crawford

Samsung has water proof and wireless charging. Those are big deals. Plus no flex mode and no S Pen. Nice and thin tho but not enough else going on.

  32. Ken Sy

Imagine if Mix Fold 2 had american market lol

  33. DRIVER-SEBVET

For me i always look at value for money in everything i buy and once again Xiaomi has pulled it off with this fold 2….

You must remember Samsung is already at version 4 of their fold while Xiaomi just released version 2 of mix fold and the differences are minimal…
So Xiaomi is catching up fast and i bet 3rd iteration will be lvl or surpass Samsung's fold….

  34. Sando-Metal

You zoomed on on that guy's butt!
    I died!
    Xie xie, Ben!

  35. Ygor Cortes

Xiaomi should sell this globally. Samsung needs some competition.

  36. Abu Hurairah

Mix fold2 is missing some features that I can ignore.
On the otherhand, it is giving some feature which I love: the slimness, the usable size, the fast charging and better Battery. Yet almost 400$ cheaper!!!!
So, overall, I think Xiaomi have done a great job. Congratulations Xiaomi.
