they always talk about tidy builds why would you want external optical drives over internal there is to much focus on removing optical drives i hate those kind of cases they suck . people want a media pc they dont want to stream sucky quality movie streaming off the net i prefer the quality off my disk .
Factory refurbished motherboard saved me 100 bucks and works great on my budget build. Not sure if its risky, but it was super budget and worked for me

I learned a lot as well, now I was able to save $200-300 because of watching this series. I'm building a Ryzen 5 5600x + Rtx 3060. I was able to snag a SRP priced rtx 3060.

the 4000d can only mount total 4x 140mm. the 2 top exhaust has 2 x140mm slot, the front has only 2 front 140mm slots. the rear is 120mm. so if you buy the 5 fan pack, you can only use 4 out of 5.

For the Gozilla build I would skip the sound card get a high quality dac/amp or dac and amp stack. Then buy a good set of headphones like the Drop PC38X or if you have the money Sennheiser HD800s and a mic. I have a similar build and no longer even use speaker, but have a great dac and amp, and 4 sets of headphones depending on what I am doing.
