ShareX has a ton of functionality but last time I checked it also seemed to do a great deal of 'spying' on my activities. I personally prefer Greenshot (which also does a bit of spying) but nothing like what I saw with ShareX. I mean to be honest, pretty much everything spies on us today anyway so if you are comfortable with that then it probably is a moot point.

I had Devinci Resolve. But I had to delete it as it wouldn't start up because it gave me a message saying "I must update my graphics card." I'm now on VSDC

Thank you very much, your videos are precise and insightful

Google Chrome is everything but "barebones" and "lacking in features found in most browsers" — it has so many features over the years it's become a resource hog, and many of those features are so good other browsers copied them (or made their own version) . 🤣🤣

Vivaldi is an enormous CPU hog that would have the fans on my laptop going nuts. I switched to Edge and my computer feels brand new again. I've found SMPlayer to be better than VLC too.

Are you able to do a video on the features of recent Windows 11 update, also a "how to" on Power Toys please…

  7. Sherylin

Great stuff. I know because I use a few of these LOL.
    Thanks Brett. 🙂

Yo Brett, love this vid! 🙌🔥 Totally agree with your picks, but have you heard of MsgEasy for YouTube? It's a game-changer for keeping up with all these comments!

  9. Thiago Moraes

Nice video but I prefer SMPlayer instead VLC and Free Download Manger instead qTorrent.

9:05 😅 Can't disagree with that! Great video and recommendations! 😎✌️

I've tried thunderbird and i can't ever get it to work with hotmail at all

VLC is buggy, bloated and caused Linux to crash for some of us. The bloated extra features require a guide to use and are better left to other programs like avidemux. -So why no mention of MPV?

  13. Zen

Brett, do a review or at least mention download manager if you ever made another "must have free open source sofrware" like [Free Download Manager] and [Motrix Download Manager]

  14. Vmware Player or Vmware Fusion for personal use only, free Windows Linux and macOS
I am paid a Vmware user, but before I used personal Vmware Fusion free

As usual, terrific program recommendations from Brett! Yet another video that I have to share with friends & family! Thanks Brett! 👍👍

The usual suspects are all here, but there are enough new things thrown in to make this video great as always.
