The ROG ALLY is so much better than anything else we've seen in this space. I hope the price tag is good

@Dave2D – Dear Steam Deck Competitors, to even START competing with it, start with the SAME controller layout. No touch pads – no go, Your dumb to stick with the "xbox" joystick layout.

    Steam Deck 🤡🤡🤡🤡

  4. Muki

the tactile feel of the buttons are the most important, no one has ever gotten that as perfect as the japanese.

  5. Autotrope

Can't wait til they release the steam deck in Australia, it's gonna be obsolete on launch day lol

  6. Alvaro LD

Did the prototype have any gyro functions?

  7. Kaerucon

Whole ZEN 4 APU is gonna be wasted by running Win 11 and God damn Armoury Crate both known for hogging CPU/RAM for absolutely wrong reasons.
It's like having 500HP on a car while running the cheapest tires possible like yeah it's gonna be making noise and power but 80% of it is gonna be wasted.
That d-pad is also the absolutely worst thing I've seen on a controller ever.

competitive pricing compared to Aya neo and GDP devices. 1000$ minimum. i hope less and better availability in Europe.

  9. LEE

    Nintendo "coughing on the corner".

  10. KILLMONGER 404

Looking forward to this, my Steam Deck may just become strictly an emulation machine for me.

Will have to see if they can match the input customization of the deck since Asus desktop software is more on the side of bloatware than actually useful. The touchpads are what makes the Steam Deck viable for games that don't support traditional controller input so leaving those out seems like a huge miss too for something that's supposed to play pc games.

Wow the price is so cheap you just have to sell your kidney😍🥰

2x the performance of the steam deck is cool but
Having all that benefits on WINDOWS? Damn I'm selling my laptop.

  14. Digitalguy

Steam deck is not even available here in Switzerland, so this is great news

  15. It's going to be 500 or 550 as they are saying it will have a competitive price

  16. E721

Calling it now, it's gonna be north of $1200.

  17. Arlind Islami

650$ on usa, more often than not in europe thats 100-150$ more expensive, nope not worth it. At 800 Euros you get a very nice gaming and work laptop.

This is fantastic tech, looks like you can easily upgrade that SSD too which is huge. Anyone know what the RAM is?
