Well, I upgraded to the S23 ultra from the S21 ultra and I can say it is a huge difference….
Excellent review as ever, and a nice surprising use of 'can't be arsed' – is the recent trip to London rubbing off on you ?!
Sometimes i wonder if Samsung combine photo from the main sensor with the telephoto. Just a shower thought lol. Hope they improve the rest of the sensors next year.
For us Europeans the Snapdragon processor is where the upgrade is at..

My wife got the iPhone 14 Pro Max on launch day, a huge upgrade to her iPhone XS Max, to which we handed this down to our daughter.
Wife was not happy with the photos that the 14 Pro Max takes, she is novice user who likes to point and shoot. Compared to my old S8+ (which is my daily), she says my phone takes better pictures than her iPhone in the same scenario. I have to admit, in most cases my S8+ does better pics with just point and shoot.
So she wants to switch back to Sumsung after a very long hiatus, her first and last Samsung was the S5, and I have to admit these pics that the S23 Ultra takes are fantastic. This S23 Ultra is perfect for her, I guess if she switches camp, then my lucky daughter gets a nice upgrade.
Couldn't help but notice that photos are being saved as jpegs, not in heic. That would further help the storage situation, at the cost of compatibility of course.
I've upgraded from my Zenfone 8 and this is an entirely different experience. You'd think that phone was high-end already, but nope, the price tag for the S23 Ultra is absolutely worth it and reflected in the end product, it is a beast and for me, will last the full 4 to 5 years of updates it will receive 😁
Upto 20x zoom is brilliant on this phone

I got an S22 Ultra late last year as my Note 9s battery was failing too hard, and I can't afford to switch to the S23U, the battery never let me down on a full day, but I am kinda mad at myself for switching too early, should I be considering the circumstances?

Great video as always but after watching Juan Bagnell's video comparing the S23 Ultra to the Vivo X90 Pro+, I can't help but dislike this video after not giving a deep dive about its 200 MP camera. I mean, the majority of this video talked about how great the camera's are and they really are great cameras. However, that's only in a vacuum, compared to phones with 1" sensors like the Vivo, this is not the best. I wish there was at least a mention about that in this review

I find it hilarious that an OS is made so bad that it needs a button to clear RAM and cache etc. to try and speed things up!
If there was no hinge in the game I can say the s23u would be MrMobiles daily driver hands down.

They keep pumping out phones every year but every phone they pumped out reminds us why we really don't need the upgrade for years to come

The best Note. Ever. Samsung needs to get with the programme though, this phone needs a 1" sensor as the main sensor rather than a 200mp gimmick.
