13 pro max here. My camera at about 1-2feet away is god fucking awful. All it does it keep switching lenses (which isn’t seamless at all and takes forever)
And the quality goes down to basically nothing. Idk what to do about it. Been like this since I got it. Miss my 12 pro
ProRaw will be better in good light as it will be giving you the full 48MP.

The HEIF files on my 14 Pro Max are EXTREMELY low resolution and at merely 1Mb or less. I did a comparison with my 11 Pro Max and they are much sharper than on the newer phone while the size is around 1.5Mb. I don’t know why Apple did this having so many Mpx but for me, RAW is the only way to get sharp images…
What phone stand are you using?
Wait ? So if you don’t have 256gb of space you can’t shoot videos in pro-res
8:44 I have done some digging and in Xcode I have seen that there are ways of taking full 48 megapixel photos that are under 10 MB in size. So far only ProCam 8 is taking advantage of this. The picture will be in RAW in JPEG format.
I just realized that the standard camera gets a better/more natural blurry background than cinematic mode! Lol
The 2x isn’t a optical zoom, it’s a crop on the main 48mp lens.
It’s always worthwhile to watch your videos, Andrew. Those shutter tricks in the very first minute were new to me! Great job.
