Hello everyone! How are you doing? This is mdtech here for another quick tutorial. In today’s tutorial, I’m going to show you how to name and rename files in Google Docs. So, this should hopefully be a pretty straightforward process, guys, and without further ado, let’s go ahead and jump right into it.

Steps to Name or Rename a File:

  1. First, if you have a document already open, or if you’ve created an existing document, simply go up to the top left corner where the name of the document currently is.
  2. Click inside this field. When you hover over the name, it prompts you if you want to rename it.
  3. Click inside this name field, delete whatever’s in there, and type in a new name if you choose to apply a new one.
  4. Hit enter, and that’s pretty much all you have to do.

So, it’s a pretty straightforward process, guys. I hope this was helpful to you. I look forward to catching you all in the next tutorial. Goodbye.
