I Tried The Complete Apple Ecosystem – Worth The Money?

Is the Apple Ecosystem Worth it? Which products can you buy “out of ecosystem” and when is it beneficial to buy more Apple stuff? I tested the entire ecosystem to find out.

Technology has changed and the products that a company makes don’t actually matter as much anymore. Like Apple could make overpriced headphones or a heavy VR headset and people would still buy them, and even rave about them. But did you ever wonder why that is? Sure, they are viewed as a premium brand and for the most part, I agree that Apple makes fantastic products, but there is a deeper answer. You see, you can no longer review one product individually without looking at the entire ecosystem. Companies like Apple have built extensive and tightly woven ecosystems of products to keep you buying their products and away from the competition. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing though. The features offer incredible interoperability that otherwise would not be possible. And I tested just about every Apple product on the market and every feature in their ecosystem. So is the Apple ecosystem actually worth it? And which products are best purchased within the ecosystem vs when it it better to buy, say, a different brand of earbuds or smart speakers

I asked you so many questions and never even got ur reply? Wtf…

I switched to the Apple ecosystem years ago because the quality was exponentially better. I tried to go android a year ago but found it to be a supremely frustrating experience. Other people will say the opposite, I don’t care. I like what I like.

Android and Windows user for almost all of my life. Switched to Apple in late 2021, now I have an iPhone 15 Pro, MacBook Pro M1, Apple Watch SE, iPad Air, AirPods Pro, Beats Studio Pro, AirTag, Apple Card, and Apple TV 4K. I have never been more productive. Android and Windows are still great, always will be. But I think I’m an Apple user for life now. Seamless, simple, clean, and most of the time it works. The Apple ecosystem is absolutely worth it!

I went back to Mac when I started working in audio again, doing audio on Windows is device driver hell. I was still a Android user and a couple years ago I thought why don't I try a iPhone. Suddenly I started seeing benefits of the Apple Ecosystem. Then to help with some health issues I thought I'd try a Apple Watch, dam the Apple Ecosystem is getting better and better. With the Apple Ecosystem both my Mac, iPhone, Apple Watch, Airpods and just talk to each other make phone calls answerable on any of the devices, pass files, use iPhone camera on any of the devices and I didn't have to do anything it just works. Have to say I stayed away from the Apple Ecosystem at first thinking it was just a gimmick, but once I had two Apple devices I started getting hooked on the Apple Ecosystem. Now the Android and Google world has an ecosystem, but because you start getting into multiple vendors it isn't as smooth experience as Apples. I'd say Apple's Ecosystem is their secret weapon for getting and keeping customers on Apple products.

I will consider switching to Apple when they come out with a folding phone. I use my Samsung Z Fold 4 all the time and don't want to give it up. Also, to purchase an iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, iMac, Home Pod, Air Pods, and Apple TV is a lot of money.

There isn’t a better eco to be in

  8. @pixelgaming7261

I think if they allowed Android users to sync with the Apple Watch, then a lot more people would buy the Apple Watch, because I can't imagine people buying an iPhone just because they want an Apple Watch.

Also, this whole blue bubble/green bubble thing has to stop, just make all the bubbles blue.

  9. @ljacobs357

My Samsung Tab S9, Watch 6, and Z Flip 5 integrate well. Samsung and Android allow much more flexibility and customization than the closed Apple system. Why spend thousands on an ecosystem that doesn't allow me to do what I want?

  10. @pixelgaming7261

16:27 I'm sure a lot of people would be embarrassed to see this figure and probably won't look for their total daily screentime.

  11. @pixelgaming7261

10:00 Also a lot of WearOS watches (besides a few like the TicWatch) don't pair with iPhones at all. I don't know why because that pulls away potential consumers so if you want a smart watch (a watch that is truly smart) and you have an iPhone, you need an Apple Watch.

  12. @matheusguedesba

Wow, if you buy in Brazil through the official Apple website, it costs over 21 thousand dollars (and I didn't even include speakers and Vision Pro because they're not sold here) 😵‍💫

  13. @Arsalan_2210

I currently own Mac, Apple watch, Airpods, Airtag, iPhone of course. These products put together have changed the way I use the internet and they have enhanced my productivity quite a lot. In the end, nothing is perfect, every gadget has its positives and negatives and you have to pick your own devices and ecosystem according to your personal preference, needs and requirements. Great Video Mike! Love the fact that you also were comparing the apple ecosystem with the android side as well. nice comparison and explanation 🙂 love from india!

Any thing apple watches can do samsung can do. Why pay all the extra for apple that free with google.

  15. They should add a smart ring and a homepod with a screen for photo's like the one that google made.

  16. @mta1864

The Apple ecosystem's quality is undeniable. It's very good. That said, there are two crucial things that keep me from ever joining it: it's a closed ecosystem and it's an expensive ecosystem. It'd be nice to use less expensive third party tech with the Apple stuff but Apple actively discourages it. Green vs. Blue bubbles for example. As such, because I prefer Windows computers for gaming and Pixel phones for the cameras (and both for their lower price), I won't buy an Apple watch, for example, because it won't play nice with those two. Oh well… can't have everything.

  17. @anglosaxonbreed

All the money i wasted on samsung stuff. I bought samsung because it was better phone. Looks like i cheated my self. Look like this indiscreet advertising for apply. I can connect 2 sets off ear buds to my phone so me and my wife can listen to same movie. This guy says only iphone can do that he wrong but he knows he wrong. This is advert for apple . Take it with pinch of salt folks

  18. After I used iPad, MacBook and iPhone. I think the best combo is iPhone Plus as mini version of ipad mini and MacBook. We can also take Apple Watch but AirPods isn't worth it for its price.

  19. @cw6560

I like the idea but will not buy a expensive a product that will do the same thing may better latter.

  20. @chris201

Hey mike will an unlocked at&t s23 ultra work just as goid as a factory unlocked s23 ultra on t mobile?

  21. @friendlybane

The way I view the "Apple Ecosystem" is the convenience of having one account iCloud connected to all your devices, syncing data. It's definitely a plus, but nothing mind-blowing. Like yeah, you don't have to enter your iPhone's hotspot password on your Mac, but on my PC, I entered my Galaxy's password once, and it is saved in my WiFi networks. It's a tiny convenience, not a feature.

  22. @cruzinthruspace

    The ecosystem is great.
The individual products are over priced shiny trash.

  23. @asraiSOA

Nice video. Yeah, I like the Apple Ecosystem for all of what you mentioned. I have quick and easy access to all my devices by simply logging into my account. No complicated setup process and everything just works as expected and even better than at times.

  24. @RMILLSMMA

I know Mr Mobile did a similar one ref Google ecosystem. Be great to see your take on that. 👍🏻

  25. @rajineeshkumarp

Good number of features are also available on Windows and andriod ( samsung) as they also making an eco system, can you make a video on that as well.

  26. @Gravage

The way you obstruct part of the display area on your TV with your Homepods makes my teeth itch.

  27. @ipeter8774

your videos are awesome…they are very informative and interesting and entertaining to watch…
i used to be all apple but have been samsung for years…
i have the s24ultra…and as side device i use MS surface pro9…
i am trying a iphone 15promax and ultra2 watch…i didnt like it switched back to s24u but i am now giving it 1 more try…it is a tough choice…
it seems to me self contained if its just you and your phone the s24u is far far a better phn as far as hardware…but as u said that darn ecosystem works so well…its seriously a tough choice…
on a good note even though decision is a tough one your videos make it fun to debate it

  28. @seasong7655

On windows it's not that hard to copy files to your phone. Surely apple made that more difficult on purpose

  29. @alcipta4920

exactly what i wondered myself lately.

also, congrats on your wedding ring mate
