During the recent Investor Meeting 2022, Intel showcased its upcoming 13th Gen i9 13900K desktop CPU codenamed Raptor Lake. I think that it is a good time to compile all the official as well as leaked information into one easily digestible video to let you know what to expect from the next generation of Intel processors. I will cover the 13th Gen specs, release date, performance, and more.

I think that Ryzen 7000 (Zen 4) will beat Intel 13th Gen in gaming but may loose in professional workloads. What do you think?
amd is going to need 32 cores
amd will need 32 cores to compete
I wish I have this cpu!!!
i think zen 5 will have 24 or more cores
Personally I am longing to see more core in locked mainstream lineup, like the pentiums and i3 and xx400F type i5. That is where budding professionals will be able to reap benefit of more cores as well as actual cheap gaming cpu. 12100f is good but it is definitely not entry level in terms of total build price.
is the next AMD going to be 5 or 7nm? i think that's the most important difference
I keep hearing it may come out around august
I hope i get 13400 between March to April 2022
Don't mind but you're really slow at reporting leaks. Try being faster.
Great coverage though
Asus Prime B660M-A D4 vs MSI PRO B660M-A DDR4 ?
well i keep using r5 3600 maybe will upgrade q3 2022
damn i've bought 12th already
Intel had NO choice but to try to beat the new AM5 chips before they come out. It won' be enough boys. big.LITTLE? More like useful.USELESS. 🤣
E-cores in a desktop 🤣
if they already got 14th and 15th gen planned out, why not just skip to them and focus on them and stop pussy footing around with the lesser technology.
They should be testing like scientists to try and make better technology for the future, and all these extra small jumps from gen to gen are only cash grabs for the money hungry side of the company.
Give us something that's truely extra-ordinary intel c'mon, we know you got something up your sleeve- and if you don't then amd is just gonna keep taking your money anyways.
Socket????
I just want fight between AMD and Intel ✌️
Still Intel igpu suc*k 😭
I really don’t want more e-cores, I want more P-cores. Was really hoping for 10/12 of them. Gaming is better anyway with e-cores disabled so this is waste of time for gamers.
I'm just waiting for 13th gen to come out so 12th gen prices come down. I just want to get the i5-12400 at a good price, pair it with a nice RTX 3060/3070 or 4050/4060 level of performance, whether it's amd, intel or nvidia. I don't need much more for gaming at 1080p/1440p.
i lke it
woo hoo Intel is finally upping their game up. i used both AMD and Intel CPUs and seriously, intel makes to last. AMD cpus are great for the first 3-4 years but they slowly start degrading, while intel CPUs stays good for 10+ years without speed drops or overheatings.
I kind of wish intel had killed off DDR4 support to force the market to move forward. You could still support the 12th gen boards that have DDR5. I'm certain that the DDR5 price/performance factor won't hit acceptable levels until it's a requirement. Still, giving users an upgrade path is nice. The DDR5 upgrade kind of changes that consideration for me though.
I will wait for 14th or 15th gen. Currently i am on my 1700x with an gtx 1080, but at the moment i am not really playing much games. There is nothing on the market that interessts me much. I am planing to get 14th gen with an rtx 4000 card or 15th gen with an rtx 5000 or even an intel arc gpu at that point, what ever is more power efficent. I am playing on 1440p, my plan was to upgrade to 4k, but with rising energy prices I rather buy a system that gets me super 1440p performance and doesnt require a 1000+ Watt powersupply.
Someone in the comments said, that amd cpus seems to degrade much faster than intel cpus and I kinda agree with this statement. At least my 1700x slowed down quite a bit.
im using 10700k im waiting for 13900k
Do we expect pricing to be similar to the current lineup?
ваще похуЮ! ибо даже старый 6700 стоит 67 т. рублей. спасибо манипуляторам )
0:18 Intel should stop pirating Windows.
13900k looser. mainstream processor is looser in nova days. I wait for real POWER CPU: 13900XE.
Very hyped for 13th gen
Lets see what amd answers👀
Are the i9, i7, i5, and i3 gonna launch at the same time?
I have 11900f for YouTube watching.. won’t upgrade until 15th gen
By 2030 16 cores and 128gb of RAM will be the norm.
2:18 Intel confirmed that there will be no DDR4 support, only DDR5 ram will be supported for 13th gen Raptor Lake platform.
I dont get it, atm the DDR4 is better than DDR5, why not make it backwards compatible? Atleast for one or two gen.
And still will have crap performance
so basically for gaming it wont make any difference to wait 6 months or get an 12700k 12600k 12900k.
Intel still needs to activate windows
Does it include the new BHI/Spectre mitigation(s) to performance?
It feels 12th gen just came out, and already talking about 13th gen. I bought a 12th gen which is a very good CPU, and I think I'll wait until 14th gen.
10% performance gain in single thread won't compete with next gen Apple M chip.
I think since were getting so many M.2 slots If we get even more PCIE lanes to come for m.2. Maybe we can do a specialized Sata Connector or a few of them while still having 4 to 6 Sata ports. Works too if Nvme goes to x2
I wonder if 13th gen and Zen 4 will coincide with 64gb ddr5 dimms
I'm on no specific Intel desktop. I'm rocking a haswell laptop i got second hand
However I am Interested in building a PC using upcoming gen parts. If z700 boards only come with DDR5 but it works on Z600 ddr4 boards with little hassle then that will still be somewhat cost efficient even though I do think 32gb 2x 16 of DDR5 will be cheaper then it is now with lowest prices around or below $200. Right now they are at best $260 lowest price
