M4 iPad Pro – MEGA UPGRADE!

There have been some last minute rumors regarding the iPad Pro and they have really shaken up what my expectations for this product is with one week left to go it looks like Apple is getting ready to ship is the most premium hardware product they have ever made with an M4 iPad Pro with supercharged Ai features, the best OLED display ever made, haptic feedback for Apple Pencil, and a brand new keyboard case that will take the hardware of this iPad Pro one step above the MacBook Pro.

I want a matte screen, this glossy screen is an absurdity for all artists and graphic designers.

  2. I hope that if thier planning to give the iPad Pro m4 that they will skip m2 for the air and give a big boost to m3 in the iPad Air lineup or some dumbed down version of m4 one can only hope… to allow the iPad Air to be on same playing field as far as AI features for the iPad Air lineup…

  3. With Apple it's all about the fact that they mediocrely differentiate their lineups, so I think a good way to differentiate their Pro and Air iPads, should be changing the iPad OS name to something like “iPad OS Studio” or “iPad OS Pro” for their iPad Pros and add real and useful Mac OS features, or even allow them to run full Mac OS natively, so in that way it wouldn’t be confusing that “iPad OS” is different on each category, and they will surely make a lot of people happy

Great video. However, if the iPad OS is not improved, it will not matter.

The problem with the iPad it is is now a niche product and out priced for many. For it to become a hit it needs to be accessible to everyone. Those on 2018 iPads have adapted a workflow to get the best out of it. Testament to Apple for making robust hardware, but just because something is new and shiny doesn't make it a must buy. Everyone looks at the screen an nobody cares about how thin it is or the bezels or if it has 6 new cores, they care if it works or not, not how it works. The iPad is a content consumption device.

I don't know a single person who has hit the hardware limitations on their current iPad with their work that they must buy the next one because it is faster!

As said in many comments before, if it can run MacOS, I would buy one. But I already have a Mac Mini M2 and MacBook, so why do I need it? – I don't, yet.

For the iPad to sell, it needs to be affordable with a great screen and a reasonable price. Not massive tech, great screen super high price. Look at the first iPad, a game changer, and it sold millions because Apple gave it a REALLY affordable price.

Also, look at the success of the Mac Mini for example, affordable, decent spec, accessible and adaptable to many use cases. Flying off the shelves. I bought one and that was the first Apple computer I purchased.

I just hope it’s strong enough to run warzone mobile smoothly

I still have, and use my IPad Pro 2018 11 inch.
It’s my daily driver, from School, Work, Reading, and entertainment.
As mentioned in your video the 2018 Pro, still works great and keeps up with what I need it for. At times I would like to upgrade it just to have more storage (64gb) but I don’t see a real reason to switch. Now, I’m just checking out the new releases to see if Apple will finally step up their game and release something that is worth the upgrade.

    Thanks for sharing! ❤

I think you are right. M4 for the iPad Pro is meant to boost iPad Pro sales.

  9. @Daniel-qy9mb

Realistically, it sounds like faster processing speed at this point is just future proofing. But concerns about battery drainage overtime I would think would be a more important issue.

  10. The problem is, that Apple likes to just make up its required Hardware specs, so they can hype up new devices.
Remember how "Stage Manager" was only supposed to be possible "thanks to the power of M1"? Yet an iPad Pro with its A12 chip has no trouble running it.
The differences between M1, M2 and M3 also seem a lot more minimal.

So, take everything, they say with a grain of salt, wait until actual reviewers get the devices into their hands and you'll be fine.

  11. Apple would be wrong to use M3 or lower due to vulnerabilities exposed. Best solution M4!

  12. @Kasuki_7

But still, it can’t support calculator, XD

  13. @L.G.productions

In my opinion, the iPad needs more software features. I know some would argue that AI is software however, I just want an updated user interface and a beautiful oled screen.

  14. Most of the people who complain about Ipad just doesn't know how to use Ipad, this is not a Mac so learn how to use it for what it is! It's like compare an device powered with Windows and complain about MacOs like hooo I wish I can use it the same way… Just learn how to use it !!

  15. I can barely contain my excitement! It’s like Christmas and my birthday all rolled into one. Somebody pinch me so I’ll know I’m not dreaming.

  16. OLED? I don't really care… Futuristic design? Kool I guess… AI Features? Meh. In other words, It's still disappointing if Ipad OS is the limiting factor!

  17. It be nice if the rumor for the iPad Air 12.9 would be nice as a cheaper good iPad for college students hahahahah

  18. @brandonstews238

Dude! Iam Still using my I pad pro gen 1. It still works just slow at times!

  19. The AI features better be truly useful and not gimmicky crap like removing objects from photos. I suspect it will be underwhelming.

  20. @maxipaxi6338

Here we go again! We dont need hardwares and processors. What we need is software. If there is not software change i am switching over to Surface pro!!!

  21. @aural_supremacy

The issues with iPad Pro versus Mac Pro for me is price. Mac Pros are outrageously expensive as are iPad pros but Mac Pros are double to triple the price of a highest specced iPad Pro and you can build a PC yourself that would blow the Mac Pro out of the water for a third of the price and then there is the software costs. Ok so you can’t use all the professional software on an iPad but there are a lot of software options for professionals to work on iPad, Affinity photo and Procreate for artists, Cubasis and 1,000’s of music production apps at a fraction of the cost of desktop software, I seriously doubt that even 50% of people who splurge for a $6,000 dollar AUD maxed out Mac Book Pro actually use it to its full potential and that goes for iPad pros too, I haven’t hit the limits of my M1 iPad Pro yet, but then again I haven’t tried to make a music production with 20 or more tracks yet, it would be nice to have simultaneous access to all the processor cores but apparently this is a software issue and not a hardware one so the question really should be be has Apple given up on iPad OS rather than have they given up on the iPad.

  22. @pjr334

I’m not cool with the increased 💰price not justified price is already ridiculously high

  23. @swig46

Bezels don’t have thickness, they are either narrow or wide.

  24. @agprime

Don't know bro but I think it'll do the same thing the ipad pro M1 can do. Nothing el is changing but the chip. 😂😂😂

  25. @ozgurutku

The processor is not the problem, iPadOS is the problem. My m1 iPad is already capable of editing almost every codec comes out of my fx3.

  26. @davadh

I think the innovation will be in Pencil 3, the iPad will just be the usual spec bump.

  27. @ethenjordan2010

All i want is an IPAD mini PRO, which i know wont happen. But i dont wanna whip out my massive ipad pro in the gym to take notes. I would sell it and get a better mini asap if they did.

  28. @wilty5

Hopefully, the introduction of the M4 chip will also mean a price reduction for the M1 & m2 IPad PRO’s, but knowing the Corporate greed model of Apple, it’s unlikely. I’m curious as to which IPads will support the new Apple Pencil and all of its rumored upgraded features .

  29. @joseguzman6988

I've never used my M1 iPad and been like wow, I really need a better processor. The device just needs to play video and send some emails. I'd really prefer my iPhones and Macs have M4 processors and be AI infused.

  30. @kings7man

In 2030 it will be that obsolete m4 chip with that outdated AI

  31. @jamesburland

Great video. I totally agree. Everyone who has to have the cutting edge of Apple hardware will buy one of these, then buy a new Mac in June.

  32. @MichaelWest1996

Honestly I’m not sure most every day people care about the AI features that much. Maybe I’m wrong. But the only thing I would upgrade for at this point is for some new Mac-like features. I’m not asking for Mac OS. But just something that sets it more apart from an iPhone and more like a MacBook. Like a really lite version of Mac OS or at least more Mac- like customizations and app capability.

  33. @chadmullins7553

How many people bought an M1, M2 or M3 MacBook Pro that are now considering to purchase the iPad Pro due to the fact it will have the M4 chip that is designed for AI? The leak has so many people questioning to start saving for that or the next MacBook Pro coming out because of it…

  34. @twosawyers

It’s time for 240hz Promotion, Wifi 7, and a haptic feedback motor in the iPad Pros.

  35. @MilushevGeorgi

If indeed on M4, Apple has an added benefit to switch away from the M3 for better yields
