Aw crap I forgot to add Nintendo Wii to my spreadsheet. It would have had Steam Deck as my #1 choice because there are a lot of things you can do with Steam Input and gyro to (almost) replicate the original experience.

  2. @jonathonearl482

My number one pick for Game Boy / Game Boy Color / Game Gear is now my PowKiddy B20SX! The display is on point.

  3. @Khaeiou7

Miyoo Mini + can also play ds games too using drastic

  4. @DarkElfio

no MAME coverage? how do you play metal slug?

  5. @Pridetoons

Russ you didn't talk about the RG353P and PS for SNES Emulation.

  6. @Pridetoons

The PSP is obsolete shitty D-Pad and Face Buttons and an aged Screen just emulate it instead.

  7. @Burbanana

Thanks Russ. Are the issues with the RP4 Pro fixed?

  8. @jwithington

I have to admit: I got my Odin 2 Pro to play Dreamcast (especially) and GameCube with no fuss…but the thing I do the most is Game Pass! So much so that I got an Xbox for my birthday, and now use the Odin for remote play a lot as well. Great video! You always inspire me to play instead of just mucking about with emulators and setting up systems. ☺️

  9. Oh no, there were no suggestions on how to play Switch games on the go!!! Snif snif

  10. Your videos are great even if I don’t need any more “upgrades” for my handhelds for a long time. I have a steam deck and rg35xx h now and they are perfect for what I need. In a way, the steam deck would be all I need for all options (I love playing docked on all my games, and it was a dream of mine to play handheld games on the tv), but I do find comfort in playing my games I grew up with handheld on something similar to a GBA.

I don’t need anything else atm, but I love seeing these videos is nice to see and I enjoy Russ’s content a lot. The energy and vibe is just great to watch and seeing what the community is up to. Thank you!

  11. Question for everyone! What is the best cost benefit handheld to play up to super ness, neogeo , n64, playstation one and game boy?? Could you help me?

  12. @father042

For me phone with a telescopic controller like Gamesir X2 is easily the best way to emulate DS games

  13. @Baumie11

    My list:
    RP4 Pro for PS2/Gamecube/PSP
    RGB30 for Pico-8/SNES/NES
    Analogue Pocket for GB/GBC/SNES/NES
    Miyoo Mini + for GBA
Trim UI Smart Pro for PS1/GBA

  14. @KevinAdams06

I want to give a shout out to Delta iOS emulation for NDS. Phones have a great aspect ratio, and touch screen controls.

  15. @zidane6520

Cool recommendations, but I feel the 3DS and PSVita are very well rounded if you could only have two.
They’ll do most of the retro 8 and 16 bit stuff well, and each can do something the other can’t. 3DS does DS and 3DS, and the Vita does PS1/PSP/PSVita.
Neither does 64 well, but some of the best 64 stuff is on 3DS, and the pc port of Mario 64 is on both.

  16. @agnady08

What shell or case is that for the Steam Deck??

  17. @decegrease

Something else about PC streaming to your phone: if you have a more modern phone, not only will it be a high quality OLED panel, but it will also support high refresh rate. I prefer streaming my desktop to my phone rather than my Odin 2, because it supports 21:9 ultrawide without crazy letterboxing and high refresh rates. I own a 3440x1440p 165hz monitor and a 4080 super so it fits my use case very well, taking advantage of ultrawide and high refresh rates that i wouldnt be able to on other devices, so i dont have a visual downgrade when i stream

  18. 32:56 So Idk if Gamesir has fixed it or not, but if you still want to use the official PS remote play app, you still can. You just have to deny permission when gamesir app asks to access your phone. If you do that, the remote play functions perfectly fine. I have to use the official app because my internet connection for whatever reason refuses to work with PSPlay.

I’m looking for a system that will play up to psx, with an analogue output to a crt tv (like the raspberry pi), and Bluetooth to connect controllers.

  20. @jibjr88

This made me regret selling both my vita and my new 3ds with a bunch of accessories, mint condition (I take care of my stuff) for $100 each pre covid. I'm dumb lol

  21. @ROBSILVERGUN

    Not so retro 😂 The PS2 is like 23 years-old now. 😂😂😂😂😂

  22. @OblivionPrime

Man i wish i still owned a working Ps vita :/ hopefully the emulation gets better soon

  23. @user-jv5gr4qq3p

You NEED to do a video on streaming with Parsec. It's Free. It's Amazing. It can work with ANY android device. It streams your entire Desktop. All you need is a WiFi connection. I can play tears of the kingdom from like Russia even if my Computer is in China on my retroid pocket 2s! Top Tier.
