I’m so happy we’re being given a free trial for the crash detection at least imagine your phone comes with the hardware but after three years if you end up in an emergency situation, good luck I just really am worried this is involving peoples life and some people might rely on this as functional security backup, and if it somehow ends up being blocked out after three years if you do not pay for it, then it’s just comes off as evil and completely out of touch especially when the company is the biggest company in the entire world I doubt they lack the money to be able to pay it further users, especially if they really care about life-saving technology and making new ways to bring safety in the hands of everyday people without having to buy new gadgets that are specifically made for that such as a satellite phone

I got in an accident that totaled my car and the airbags like knocked me out momentarily 😭 my iphone 14 detected the crash and called 911

Is ethically bad to offer service that is supposed to be life-saving and then after three years put a price on it but I’m just wondering if that’s even ethically or even morally correct to do such a thing it’s like a life-saving emergency help thing but after after three years, you have to pay for it, so even if you are in the situation which you need it before you can even use it after three years, it will become something you need to pay for and once that emergency arrives well if it’s after three pretty much effed up how are you gonna do it do you have to purchase it before doing an SOS call? Is it like an after thing I hope they let you do the call anyways and they’re just gonna charge you for it later, because if they completely log out of feature, that’s supposed to be life-saving behind a paywall when the phones hardware is fully capable of giving you that and it’s not just software, it just comes off as quite greedy to do that. When you offer something for free that’s life-saving you shouldn’t ever charge for it later I just really really hope they don’t lock it out of peoples phones as an option when they do end up in emergencies after the three years. it is just very very unclear on how they proceed with and how they’ll operate in an emergency situation after those three years and I question has not been brought up yet and it’s worrying. You don’t want someone to be relying on it thinking it’s gonna be life-saving and three years later they forget that they have to pay for it and suddenly when they’re in that emergency situation they can’t even use the feature because they haven’t paid for it emergency services should always be free especially when you already paid for the hardware which comes with the phone. The iPhone 14 is capable of doing that because it has hardware in it that’s capable of doing it it’s not just software, and Apple makes enough money to pay off the satellites. That are already in space

I miss Phil Schilerl, he was the best presenter ever, he was Steves legacy and always presented every iPhone with passion.
And did you all know, the last iPhone Jony Ive designed before he left Apple was the 12 Series (He left during iPhone XS/11) and since then Apple now released 4 Generations with the same design (his design) and only changed the notch shape Into the island !!!

We need to know what % of the calls have been false alarms/unintended.

Still falling very short of actually getting help quickly in an emergency. In a real emergency people can’t necessarily text responses or move the phone around to point to a satellite

good news for 14 users but what about 15 users ? and u winder what kind of subcription they would do for this … when i see the prices we pay outside of the US for an Pro max , it should be included , even thought it costs a lot for Apple to do and maintain, it should be included for at least 4 years .

2:16 I dont know if that laugh was for being proud or for how terrible that web camera was 😂😂😂

Its going to be a very hard marketing moment for Apple when they make this a paid service. Like, how do you save face while moving an emergency service to a paid plan? I think it is awesome it exists though, really glad they’re innovating in this field!

Do those of us who just bought an iPhone 15 get a free year?

  13. mason 😋

im sure kaiann was overjoyed to be able to speak with the face of apple

  14. AAA needs to get a new web cam… The video started from 2023 and went to 2001 in 2 mins…

This is an incredibly interesting topic, but there are lots of questions about it. Sadly, Justine, this was Pure Marketing. Absolutely nothing that wouldn’t be in an Apple press release.

so is it just for iPhone 14 that they are still free or is it also for 15? Or is it just saying that it's currently 2 years for 15 and 3 for 14?
