If you optimize an app for this tablet you optimize it for all tablets (and foldables).

  2. One thing missed is that they should’ve added in usb support for the dock, it could probably be used as a semi work tablet.

  3. I still use my nexus 7 (mostly as entertainment for the kids. If they drop it and kill it, well, it's had its time).

So they can do proper account switching on the tablet, but really struggle to implement that same set of requirements on Google TV? (especially the Chromecast with Google TV product)

Do you reckon this will have acceptable performances with photo and video editing?

How well does Skype work on the Pixel Tablet? Easy enough for a granny to learn and use while on the dock?

Can we just appreciate, in the speaker review part, how perfectly timed the switch to the hub speakers was. It was perfect

As always biased reviews for any android product. You have a habit to ppint out all the negatives first for any android product eventhough it would be only for you and then you will point out the positives. Worst review channel ever.

Once again Google can’t even compete with the iPad. Why in the world I should by this, when I can get an iPad?

Maybe the dock should have an HDMI port. Then you could use the inbuilt Chromecast feature and the tablet could even function as a set top box for example.

In Germany it’s around $700, so thanks but no thanks.

It’s an iPad 9th gen design without apple logo 🧨

If Google continues to support tablets will we see the return of the Samsung Galaxy tablets? I don't understand why Google just can't set the app size so third party apps just open to the native screen size? Would it look that much worse than the current way looks?

Can you simultaneously charge with the doc and the USB C port?

I had a Pixel C (the first pixel tablet by google, based on pure android 7 then 8, back in 2015), and it was amazing for the time ! tegra x1 (same processor that the switch), great screen (2k ltps), a magnetic keyboard without any pins (only bluethooth). The only drawbacks were the lack of support (the gpu driver was nouveau driver, which were BAD, real bad) and google being google, so removing the widewine L1 support of the tablet. From what i understood at time, it was partially due to the jalibreak of the switch : the tablet was used to find ways of circumventing the security of the tegra x1 processor, and so it was not that secure after the release of the switch and the massive amount of tech to crack the console. Without that, i think I would be using it nowadays. It was such a great product.

10:00 if you rotate the tablet, does the app go full screen? That would be super helpful for older and low vision users

  17. So, if Google doesn't abandon tablets over the following twelve months, the gen 2.0 version of this gadget will be quite great.

Marques, listen. i know you are a big fan of full spec'd out devices. But this is a great device for average consumers man. We don't want more power than we need!! What I'm saying is not to put a device in negative light just because it doesn't have high end specs.
Google is trying to play it safe, like Samsung did during the early smartphone era.

How am I not seeing a single comment about that racket flip at 1:54. That was sketch! I would have dropped it so many times if that was me

I never appreciate android ever and this tablets and video prove it by far !! In 2023, it’s almost impossible to get a good tables from google … from the core of android … and people spare spitting on apple 😂 they got it since day one at least .. I think that android are good for gaming or have fun but nothing real or professional
