Razer are shooting themselves in the foot with their insane prices

With winter coming I am interested in a 3,000$ space heater 😂

At the end of the day, would you rather carry your heavy gaming PC around or your slightly heavy laptop with better performance and cooling? I think the latter, I love the slim look of Razer laptops but it's not worth the compromise.

  4. HotFuzz

On no, a pound more. Do you even lift? Lol

    Must. like. every. CES. video.
Razer is one of those nice things that you see in the shop but then you look at the price. . .
There's better options out there and this is not 2015 anymore where they dominated the market unfortunately, i hope they will realize that someday.

Does anyone who really knows anything about gaming laptops really buy a Razer Blade? Their Synapse software for my mouse and keyboard alone raises my CPU temps by 10 degrees whenever I install that shite.

Great video as always, exciting times coming for laptops…. I will say, the video quality (clarity/sharpness) for your vids is amazing! Bliss to my eyes!

Sadly, no mechanical keyboard option. Cant take these gaming notebooks seriously as a gamer

I guarantee you their laptops cannot handle the heat from these new spec updates. I'm typing on a razer blade advanced right now and it gets hot VERY easily regardless of vapor chamber. Their cooling solution is not enough for their specs and their customer service does not match their price. They charge premium prices while giving you discount mobile provider customer service levels

Still have my Razer Blade 2080 Max-Q from 2019-ish. The battery swelled several times and had to be replaced, but otherwise it's really great. But I much prefer the Lenovo Legion that I got as part of my IT upgrade expenses. Razer's unibody design is much more attractive, but the Legion's keyboard and screen are significantly better. Of course, the max TDP of my 2080 MQ is 90w while the legion's 3080 is 175w (Thanks to Legion allowing the TDP to unlock/overclock). So the performance differential is quite extreme for a single generation.

With all the brands dropping 16:10 ratio , i hope they now make all the games and stream platforms compatible with 16:10

Any gaming laptop that does not let you limit charge while plugged in is a skip for me.

Good to hear about the battery. I have the Blade 14, and I've change the battery 5 times due to swelling (2 times on warranty).

They still aren't really as good as Lenovo Legions… price and everything. I always check them out, but never impressed enough

While the larger size and weight is fine in my box for a better screen, they better not be raising their prices again. They have competitors that offer the same if not better features for less. They’re gonna price themselves right out of the market at this rate.

  16. Prices has been ridiculous for the recent generations of Blade, it’s a complete turn off. Otherwise, the upgrades are welcomed.

I believe the Blade 14 will cover the market for old Blade 15 for whom priorities portability. And Blade 16 will catches up in terms of performances since the last few generations of TDP cap lock was making Blade 15 run like a vintage sports car.

Ever since I bought a “3080” razer 15 which was performing worse than a 3070 laptop of the same 90W I will never buy another razer laptop again. Their other stuff is alright though

  18. CptHuggyFace

Unless they fixed the quality control it doesn't matter how good they look or perform.

  19. 009

I have a 2020 Blade 15 , 2070 super max and i feel like i bought the perfect model at the perfect time

Honestly Razer's laptops being ultra-thin is why I've never actually considered them in the past as for example if I'm paying the huge premium for an RTX 4090 then I want the performance of a laptop RTX 4090, not the performance of a laptop RTX 4080 because they went so thin it's stuck with a low 100ish W TGP, max TGP is absolutely mandatory for a gaming laptop IMO, otherwise you're throwing away your money in the sake of ultimately fairly meaningless thinness.

Why is every manufacturer all of a sudden doing 18” screens this year?

  22. highlanderc

I had a Razer Blade advanced edition 2019. Amazing feel on the laptop, felt like having a mac. Totally crippled hardware. That thing would do 2600 on CB20. It would throttle back to 45w no matter what you did. They released a patch update to the 2020 version to increase to 55w on the 10750h. They did not release it to the older generation. Sold it, and I will NEVER EVER buy another razer blade. Its ALWAYS CRIPPLED. They want low fan noise like apple instead of giving them the choice.

Nice video. Thank you. Love how you noted right off the bat how the weights for the new laptops have increased… 🙂
