Remnant 2: The Forgotten Kingdom DLC Review – The Final Verdict

Remnant 2’s second paid DLC, The Forgotten Kingdom, is finally available.
When taking the new dungeons and plethora of items into consideration, The Forgotten Kingdom works as a complement to the base game. However, it’s narratively lacking, with much of the biome giving way to some serious deja vu. The new bosses are at least fun to fight, and the Invoker Archetype can make for some fun spell-slinging action.

Picking up The Forgotten Kingdom is a foregone conclusion for most Remnant 2 players, especially if they want more items and secrets to pursue. While it’s ideal for that and little else, here’s hoping the third DLC does something more.

Personally felt the 1st dlc The Awakened King, was much more fun to go through compared to the 2nd The Forgotten Kingdom. What does not help as well is the first area from the one shot in Forgotten Kingdom had really bad performance, thankfully the other map zones were alright but really made my initial impressions worse.

If i had to rate it The Awakened King DLC ranks a solid 7 – 8 / 10, quite enjoyable while The Forgotten Kingdom ranks at a 6 / 10 for me. I do think the next dlc will be N'Erud focus but I am honestly dying for a earth tile set. Really miss it from the first game!

I'd still say to grab the DLC if you are dying for more Remnant 2 since it is only 10 bucks!

  2. Idk I actually enjoyed the big flying stone creature it has a readable pattern that is engaging. For me id rather have a flying elite with readable patterns than getting swarmed by a bunch of flying mobs that shoot at you constantly and a ln elite that shoots too (neurud) don’t get me wrong I like neurud but the flying mob swarm was annoying at first.

Amazing game, but not worth coming back and shelling out money for; best case scenario would be wandering into this game after all the dlc come out

Comparing Remnant DLC to Destiny DLC is a farce, they cost six times as much for the same ammount of content, and Remnant just does it better. I have my complaints with the DLC, but compared to virtually any other game, it's still exceptional because Remnant 2 is exceptional and that hasn't changed. Great secrets, great bosses, great weapons, great additional rings, a unique enemy faction, and a story that is great in 2 of the 3 possible endings, who could ask for more for £9?

We need longer dlc, played the dlc for like a week, not much content in in

  8. Feel like they should add like an arena type dlc with harder and harder waves or a harder difficulty with more enemies that maybe do more damage or something these dlc seem kinda mid at best which sucks because the game itself was so good not saying the arena wouldn’t be mid but it would present another challenge to over come or something

i'm actually dissapointed with the dlc's in this game compared to the 1st. i would've rather had a new world than this. i actually got bored with this dlc and am not looking forward to the last one. this world in general for me was meh so expanding that was not hyping me and now the for me worst world is gonna be the last one. and they kinda over did it with finding the class. waiting 5min in a pool of sand was a pain ngl. i wanna play the game not just stand still.
