I tried the Remarkable and returned it. It's too locked down. I do enjoy my Onyx Boox Air2. Better value IMO… even if the syncing is less elegant, it's still free. Even the accessories for the R1 are absurdly overpriced. And the battery life was awful compared to the Air2, which runs full-on Android and has a better built-in notes taking app. And I turn almost all of the Android stuff like notifications off, but it's nice having the Play Store for productivity apps.

The Kindle Scribe got an update, getting better.

I want that, I am easy distracted and I do not want a lot of paper

how do you sync it to your Mac? how do the files appear on the Mac? which format?

This is an eink tablet released a couple of years ago and with is lagging behind compared to other competitors

I have long tried to wrap my head around trying this tablet. I love the idea of it. Just can't get past the fact that any note app on iPad can take care of this … and save you the money of this tablet.

I love my Remarkable 2. But I also have an iPad Pro and a Mac studio. They all have their place.

I keep notebooks for To Do and Photography. Can I keep folders in Remarkable equivalent to my notebooks? Can you write as easily with the Apple Pencil on an iPad (I’ve never learned the Pencil)? If so, why not just use that?

The Remarkable is an alternative for pen/pencil and paper, not an iPad. That's a good thing (in my opinion) as there are many advantages for content creation and memorisation when it come to pen and paper. Many times I have typed a document of several thousand words only to remember very little of it later. Digital devices are wonderful for editing and production, but far too distracting for many people when it comes to content creation.

What an overpriced ripoff. Get an Ipad Air with a matte screen protector and you have good writing experience and a million more functions.

You should've started with the price!!!! After the entire video, i realized I wasted my time because I looked up the price for it. I'LL STICK TO MY IPAD. This video deserves 3 thumbs down, again, because you didn't start with how much it cost!!!

Welp, the link went to Amazon and you had listed that it was expensive at $199. ………. It’s now $598…….I’m out

Remarkable is remarkably overrated. Yes, you can transfer your handwritten notes to your computer. But you still need to retype everything if you ever wants to use any of your ideas. Buy a pencil and a stack of paper and you're MUCH better off. PS: Anyone wants to by a Remarkable 2?

I have a remarkable and Love it I am interested if you were to do a review of a keyboard.

Its absolutely ridiculous to spend $600+ USD because you can’t turn on airplane mode. I like your videos and you have some of the best hair on YouTube but suggesting you don’t have your iPhone or MacBook open right next to this is probably a fib. This is just another overpriced gadget that the technologically addicted justify buying. The fact that it uploads and only to a third party cloud storage for an additional cost (subscription) puts this thing in the ‘elite only’ catagory.

I was really excited when they announced the Remarkable tablet. Then they came out with it and revealed the price. I'm not making money with this so that's a big chunk of money. And not only is the tablet $300 but they don't even give you a stylus. You have to buy that separately. And it's either $80 or $125. That's when it totally lost me.

I've had the supernote for about 9 months. Love it. It just suits my needs for notetaking and planning things out.

  18. Stevo

I’ve had mine for two years, now. I love the “non distraction” writing experience of the Remarkable 2. Something about writing my thoughts out that I go to it when I really need to think through my thought processes.

  19. Chris Baker

I’d love to have one of these in a smaller, “iPad Mini” size to sit next to my keyboard and mouse for my daily notes/to-do’s, as well as it being more portable in a smaller-sized bag.

Can you connect to files in OneDrive using the reMarkable?
