Many users find that using an external keyboard with keyboard shortcuts for Excel helps them work more efficiently. For users with mobility or vision disabilities, keyboard shortcuts can be easier than using the touchscreen, and are an essential alternative to using a mouse.

Notes:
The shortcuts in this topic refer to the US keyboard layout. Keys for other layouts might not correspond exactly to the keys on a US keyboard.

A plus sign (+) in a shortcut means that you need to press multiple keys at the same time.

Kevin great video. Ques. what formula to subtract between cells using a large volume of values. ex, cell A1 minus cell C1 with answer in B1. repeating like that again with values in D1 minus F1 with answer in E1? repeating . I am wondering how to tell excel to just subtract into the empty cells between the two values

This was super helpful. Thank you! I actually have one request for a shortcut, I saw it used a few years ago and can't remember what keys to use. So, working if formulas referencing different worksheet there was a shortcut key which is almost like F2 function when the formula cell is selected but it takes you to the actual cell the formula is referencing. Do you know what keys those are?

I think this is begginer tutorial. There are more advanced shortcuts.
I’m waiting for this tutorial (for example: Ctrl+Alt+V = paste special or Ctrl+double C = pane window) 👁

I love this, you have made my job so much easier. I do have a question. I was (Making a correction)working on the middle of my spreadsheet. I had to go to the end to add more info. How do I get back to that spot I was working on without having to scroll up. Is there a shortcut to go back to the last spot I was making a correction on?

a story from a very long time ago I first learned spreadsheets before computer mice were common, and many things were in DOS (before WIndows). Keyboard shortcuts were the only way to do things, along with Function keys. Then when Windows and computer mice came along it seemed like all the young people were using the mouse and right clicking or left clicking on things, and it was just the old people who used the keyboard shortcuts. So I kind of forgot many of the keyboard shortcuts for a few years, but then other people were all saying the shortcuts were faster so I took the effort to learn them again.
