UNIQUE? Agelocer 9101A1 Sports Series Tourbillon Review #HWR

Here’s the review of the Agelocer 9101A1 Sports Series Skeletonised Tourbillon watch. This is something pretty unique and certainly not a combination that I have seen before.

It’s an absolutely stunning watch. The hard to see minute markers isn’t an issue because how often do you look at your watch and round it up? It’s not something I would wear but it is definitely worth the price.

To answer your question, no I wouldn't buy that watch for two reasons: (1) The complete non-starter for me (and the elephant in the room) is price. While I do have watches that cost as much (and more) than this watch, $1200 is a lot of money for me to spend on a watch. If I am going to spend that much money on a watch, I'd like to know that it is serviceable/repairable. Practically speaking, this watch is not. There's no way I am going to be able to find a watchmaker willing to service or repair that watch, especially if the movement really is "in-house." At that price, there are many alternatives from brands that I know I can get serviced and repaired. It's one thing to spend a couple of hundred on a "disposable" or "fun" watch, but not (for me) $1200. (2) The second reason is the branding. I would prefer more subtle branding on the watch. That AGELOCER across the top in white REALLY stands out and not in a good way.

This a very good looking watch. This watch is all about design and I personally wouldn't be wearing this for telling time. Two things that bother me so slightly are the Brand name. It wouldn't be a deal breaker but they could do a bit better in that department. The other thing I would change is having a great looking leather strap. It screams for leather! 😁

    Cheers!

Looks a nice watch, not a fan of skeleton watches but I quite like the blue one

A friend of mine has got this watch in the more dressy case. It's really nice! Legibility is my only issue with it. They should do something to make the hands stand out a little more. Nice review mate!

I for one enjoy seeing different watches being reviewed even if it is not something I will purchase. Thanks for the great review!

I watched this just to hear how you would pronounce the name. 😂

Agelocer has some interesting designs and the quality seems on a high level but so are the prices. I would like to try one sometime.

Stunning… I do like a nice skeleton dial watch. I have an Ingersoll Catalina with the skeleton dial, gets a lot of ooh and aah's from people. Nice entry level..

This blows it clean out of the water though

High-End horology brands like Roger Dubuis and Girard Perregaux have similar looking tourbillons for $ 100 000 +
