They should be bringing the pro, the 870 is too weak now.

Could you try the Xiaomi Pen Gen 2 on the Mi Pad 5? The 1st Gen had a bit of problems and i would like to know If It could be solved just by buying this new one, instado of the whole tablet. Thanks

Im so bummed out that the pro doesn't have a global version, but pad 6 is still great either way.

Great review, Chris! I believe we should normalize with no 3.5 mm jack, no GPS, no Sim connectivity in tablets today, which is a shame!
Though, the Vivo IQOO Pad with Dimensity 9000+ or the Oneplus Pad seems to be more appealing price and performance value. Although, I'd go with the Vivo for the build quality and it costs $399.

Can you please review the Nubia Z50????
Though it is a China only device, it’s the cheapest SD8 Gen2. Also with decent cameras.

so I was waiting for exactly that, after I abandoned an idea to purchase the chineese version, BUT they are now talking about PAD 6 MAX… sooo… waiting for the review of that as well! 🙂

Lack of cellular connectivity is quite a dealbreaker for me.

Hi again, really nice review. I wanna buy a tablet for Netflix and some gaming, can you help choose?
    What is better for me:
    – xiaoxin pad pro 2022
    – Xiaomi pad 6
    – Xiaomi pad 6 pro

What a big step up for Xiaomi and the Pad 6 has a premium design too. Well done Chris.

Too bad there's no GPS for Pokemongo.

Xiaomis tablets have been really solid this year. My only issue with this is the hardware is near identical to the xiaomi pad 5, the only upgrades seem to be minor screen/cpu and battery bumps you will barely notice. So it seems the pad 5 is probably still a better option given the reduced price now. Also it seems xiaomi and oneplus too seem to have stripped out some of the Google specific tablet features and additions they introduced in android 13. I almost feel like the Xiaomi pad 6 pro is really the best deal from this years android tablets, given the fact it has a Snapdragon Gen 1 and video out, making it pretty unique and probably the best android gaming tablet out there at an affordable price, shame its China only.

Front video looks okay, back camera video is meh but photo is good.

a good ips panel is better than many lower end amooled panels

  19. DRIVER-SEBVET

Excellent review of this great tablet 👌
But no 3.5 mm jack in a tablet is just wack…

  20. inez blafla

Surprised it is so expensive…Huawei's 11" is less and arguably of a much nicer quality> OK the pro version is rarely available outside of China, but the standard version is still very nice comparatively and easy to run google crome, mail etc .

  21. Chromwel A

No bloatware, minimal ads pop up, display out
    That's a fine upgrade

  22. Dheeraj Kumar

Pretty sweet device for the price. Btw, have you tried cross compatibility of the pen? Does it work on iPad OS or other Android tablets too?
Just curious as the logic of active pen is similar. 😅

  23. Im still waiting for lenovo legion y700 this late july. Apparently the tablet side of things is still alive, only the phones were discontinued 🙁

Hi Chris, thank you so much for you reviews. Great review, got myself a MiPad 5 after watching your past videos. However it seems like not too much of a big upgrade to go for however I am really curious about the stylus. Would you also test the new pen with MiPad 5 and if the improved latency benefits the MiPad 5?
